5191

The Blue Sea Systems 5191 Fuse Block Terminal has been nothing short of a revelation for my power management setup. I invested in this brilliant solution to seamlessly integrate my Dometic RTX2000 air conditioner into my Lynx distributor by Victron. The challenge with the Lynx distributor was its limited available slots, necessitating the addition of another Lynx—an expensive and space-consuming proposition. The Blue Sea Systems fuse block terminal provided an elegant and straightforward solution. By attaching it to the end of the Lynx and securely fastening it with a simple bolt-down mechanism, I was able to connect the air conditioner to the Victron system. This small yet critical addition allowed me to not only connect the air conditioner but also monitor its current, draw, and amperage. In the past, the air conditioner was directly linked to the battery, leaving me guessing about its power consumption, which was far from ideal. It's essential to note that when installing the Blue Sea Systems 5191 Fuse Block Terminal, make sure you don't over-tighten the fasteners. Refer to the manufacturer's torque specifications to ensure a secure yet safe installation. In a nutshell, the Blue Sea Systems 5191 Fuse Block Terminal is a must-have addition for anyone aiming to optimize their power management system. It's a versatile, user-friendly solution that resolves common power distribution challenges. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to fellow enthusiasts who wish to take the guesswork out of power monitoring and improve energy efficiency. It's a true game-changer, delivering on its promises and ensuring a more streamlined and efficient power setup, with a vital caution for installation.

This is overkill on a good battery with internal BMS, but I used them on 300Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries in an RV van. They are super easy to install and gave me extra peace of mind knowing that they will serve as a final line of defense in the event of any failure of the system.

Fits perfectly. Very good quality.

Blue Sea Systems is my go to brand for over current protection and isolation on RV DC power systems On this however HOPING they are listening , we need a BATTERY TERMINAL FUSE set up with a 8mm bore for lithium battery's as well. The 10mm bore is to big. Can we not make a variant for the RV community? There are millions of RVs on the roads in the US. Come on folks!!! Let's get his resolve

Works great for tight locations. As the description says, this is a fuse block. No fuse is included. Don’t be the knucklehead who slams it in the reviews because a fuse wasn’t included.

Using this to fuse a 4 gauge OFC wire directly at my cars battery. It's going to the alternator positive for part of "the big 3" upgrade. I'd say this is the best method for fusing the positive wire on the big 3. Most people leave their positive wire unfused for the big 3. I felt an inline fuse wasn't the best solution for such a short run and still having 6-8in of unfused wire. I'd like to even replace the inline fuse with one of these going to my audio system.

I used these on the positive terminals of two parallel 24 Volt strings in my battery bank. The fuses are not cheap, but based on my loads (and their fuses), these should only open in situations where the price of a fuse would be the least of my worries. I like that the terminal mounting protects from a short in all situations other than an uninsulated tool somehow finding its way into my battery box and then falling in such a perfect way as to contact the small exposed area of multiple terminals. The rubber insulator cap over the connection on the fuse end is a great feature but I do wish there was a rubber cap that concealed the terminal end of the fuse block. The added height of about 2-1/16" is minor and worked well for me, but is something to be aware of to ensure you do not have a conflict, in my case the total height above the battery case with the rubber cap seated was about 2-1/4" (possibly slightly more as it was a difficult location to accurately read the tape). I appreciate the protection from a short in a parallel battery or contact with one of the cables leading to the main fuse block. It may be overkill, but for me the large discharge potential of each string in the battery bank justifies the caution. The ignition protection of the Blue Sea Systems MRBF fuses was an added bonus that makes these acceptable for a variety of installations.

Works no issues

Very neat system for mounting fuse directly to battery terminal. Changed battery lugs to cargo type so that fuse block would be mounted vertically.

great

Well made, easy to fit

This blue sea component is as good as the brand ,Blue sea product are the BEST! only flaw this fuse holder does not have is fuse ,the fuse as to be ordered separately ,otherwise I would surly order again !

At first I thought I'd received a fake terminal block as the design of the one I received is slightly different (with metal visible to the edges of the terminal block under the fuse.) The brand is also Eaton. However, checking online it seems Blue Sea don't make them themselves and you can either receive Bussman brand (as pictured on most examples I've seen online) or Eaton (which is a slightly different design.) I would have preferred the Bussman design with the insulation covering the metal (on both side) below the fuse.
