it does not have a strong scent i would say more citrus

It's a quite liquidy, medium/strong hold styling gel. It is very lightweight, so it's great to achieve volume and it won't build up on your scalp.

What's the difference between this and the curls defining suffle? Is one better at enhancing and holding 2A-B curls?

No, it's a soft hold. It's moisturizing too. Fyi, for a crunchy hold, just break the mold when it's dry by scrunching it. See "gel cast" on YouTube. Anyway, Curlsmith is awesome. Smells good too.
