Either way, it is a beautifully made and finished piece, and SONOS fits correctly. **Q: I don’t see a “play one”option, will the “one” option work with the original play one speaker?** A: Yes, it worked for mine. **Q: How wide it the wall bracket?** A: The bracket is +/- 3" wide x 4" high x 4" deep and is specifically designed to grip the SONOS feet. I don't think it would serve other purposes. However, it is really excellent at its intended job and is essentially invisible when installed. **Q: Can the speaker be rotated 90 degrees (but still vertical), so that the speaker fires along the mounting wall rather than out from the mounting wall?** A: The bottom of the speaker has two protrusions that fit in the slots you see in the bottom of the mounting bracket. I think those are what holds the speaker stable. you could use a strong double sided tape to secure the speaker or you could just build your own mount by bending some decent ga. aluminum or heavy sheet metal. I also would prefer my rear wall mounted spkrs to face the seating.
