I wanna buy it for my 14 inch mac book pro. Does this have an apple logo on the back like it’s advertised?

No. The cover is see through which is why you can see the apple logo in these photos. I have the black one, and the logo is still able to be seen through the cover.

Is this case compatible with other laptops that aren’t macbooks? would it work for my 13.5” hp spectre?

Each specific laptop has specific dimensions and there’s a big difference between an Apple laptop and a Windows especially where the ports and vents are located. This was made for the Apple laptop, so since you are looking for a Windows laptop case you should search accessories for Windows laptops to find the best option because of the differences I mentioned. Measurements are only part of the deciding on a case, you want a case that you leave on that allows you to utilize all your ports and vents and doesn’t block your use. There are cases available just redefine your search parameters to Windows laptop accessories. I hope this helps with your search.

Does the case wear out hinges?

Not sure but its already falling apart.

Are these cases allowed to remain during security check on flights? Or must they be removed??

I would say the case can remain on the laptop. It's a clear case. When I went on the airplane I previously had a red laptop case and I never had to remove the case. I always put the laptop and the case in a separate bin with all electronics, which is the standard procedure at airports.
