I did completely remove the trailing arms from the car, but kept them connected to the wheel hub. Greased the screw jack on the tool, hit the bushings with Kroil and then used a cheap, electric impact wrench from Harbor Freight to work the bushings out. This tool pushed them right out with no effort in seconds! Flipped to the install side and the tool pushed the new bushings in, again, with no effort. Made this job go real easy! Now that my bushings have been replaced, I don't need this tool. Anyone interested? Review: This Tool Works! - This tool worked perfectly removing and installing the trailing arm bushings on our ‘09 Focus. Just as advertised. HOWEVER Be sure to start by removing the internal snap ring. There is ball bearings with two races under there. Mine were bone dry. Greased it up and had it back together.
