Fish Sauce

I had read that a bit of anchovy could really boost richness and taste of savory dishes and started experimenting. Was so cautious that a jar of anchovies easily lasted a year. I never tasted the fish but recipes were elevated for sure. I became a little more liberal and to rave reviews. When I listened to an audio book about foods and history, the author sung praises to fish sauce and used red boat as an example of excellence. I tried a small bottle. Now I'm hooked. No more chopping anchovies. Just add a splash! Love this red gold.

Red Boat's fish sauce is, to my taste, far richer and fuller -- and less sweet -- than many fish sauces. As I understand it, this sauce is made in a more authentic style. My only objection is that I believe this comes in plastic bottles only, when I know I can find glass bottles of Red Boat here in town.

Super quality, flavor, and no suger added. This is the only brand we use at home.

I will always prefer and use Red Boat. However, this order through Amazon from the Red Boat store came in a box using handfuls of the freebee USPS flat rate mailers as packing. This is disgusting. The provisioning company should be able to stock and use their own packaging materials rather than shifting the cost of the material to the USPS. Just feels tacky.

Not fun to receive a leaking packing of fish sauce. Amazon needs to do better with packaging liquid products

I WILL GIVE THIS A PERFECT 10

Demand to know from your seller if you will get plastic or glass bottles. The plastic bottles are poorly made and nearly always are leaking when you receive the package. This item is not returnable. Amz did process a refund in the end but a hassle. Red Boat is great sauce but the plastic bottles are very poor.

There is no better fish sauce available in USA than Red Boat. Finest kind.
