## Description

FlexFoam-It III from Smooth-On is a premium quality water blown flexible foam that will expand 15x the original volume. Light weight and versatile, FlexFoam-IT III can be used for a variety of projects, special effects and arts & crafts, including theatrical props, custom padding, and more. Parts A and B are mixed at a ratio of 1A:2B by volume, and poured into a mold. Mixture will rise and cure quickly to a solid state. Pot life is 35 seconds and cure time is 2 hours. Stir or shake both Part A & B before use. Can be colored with SO-Strong, UVO, and Ignite colorants.

Review: Amazing - What I liked is this product did exactly what I was hoping it would do. What I didn't like was that you have to work very fast because of how fast it sets up. It just means you have to be very organized before you mix the product. I used this product on a vintage car steering wheel horn pad that the original foam had split and separated from the horn pads structure.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can i use with plastic? or do i need a release agent?**
A: Urethane foams are adhesive and will stick / bond to many surfaces. We recommend Ease Release™ 2831 to release urethane foam from most surfaces.
If the release application is particularly difficult (example; releasing urethane foam from urethane rubber), we recommend an application of Universal Mold Release™ followed by an application of Ease Release™ 2831. WARNING; Do not use Universal
Mold Release by itself, or any other silicone based release agents. This will collapse the foam.  You MUST perform a small scale test to determine if the release agent you use will work properly with the plastic you are casting against.

**Q: Would this work well for filling a plaster body cast intended to make a dress form for sewing?**
A: I thinking would. It is pretty "squishy " so if that's okay with you then I think it would work well.

**Q: Hi, do you also have smooth on flex foamV or 6?**
A: I am not Amazon and I have not worked with 6 (Pillow soft) but I have a sample of it. The Smooth-On web site says they make sample kits for both products and they are both similar to 3 in that they are measured by volume. The big difference is that they expand less.

**Q: What is the Shore hardness of the resultant foam?**
A: I could not find a Shore Hardness for the Foam (and yes, I know what I was looking for) but since it is their most expansive foam I imagine the number to be quite low. I am not even Shore Hardness applies to foams.

We have made foam toys with this kit and its fantastic. Does exactly as promised. 2 polymers combining in a chemical reaction to make a squishy toy. Be careful and adhere to the safety instructions.
