And does it protect against scratches or just strictly water resistant?** A: I put on two coats on two different cars, properly prepped, and I waited 24 hours for it to cure before putting a second coats.... on both cars it only lasted about 3-4 weeks... I'm pretty disappointed by the durability of it. Everyone who seems to be giving this 5 stars seems like they just put it on, sure it's slick on the first week and I was excited too(then again any decent wax will last the first week). **Q: Can I use this over vinyl wrap?** A: Yes, CMX works great on vinyl wrap! **Q: Any one use this on top of black wax? i have a older vehicle with minor scratchs that i cover with meguiar's black wax, then put high gloss wax over.** A: I have used this product for over 2 months now and it works excellent for a starter ceramic coating. I have used this and waxed over it after it cured and i have done the opposite cleaned car then waxed and then sealed that ahine look under this cmx and it worked just fine. As it states it can be used alone as protecting coat or you can use it as a topper over a shiny waxed or glazed car. **Q: Can this be used on painted ceiling fan blades, without damage? I'm thinking the product may help to prevent constant dust build-up on the blades.** A: Yes it can be used but don’t forget any wax type products will make static and that will collect dust ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super easy to apply, great results & no issues at all with my white car *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 June 2020* Absolutely amazed by this Mothers CMX ceramic coating, it’s super easy to apply and gives simply amazing results.Personally I have tried the Hybrid/Ceramic spray on products from both Meguiars and Turtle Wax but this Mother’s product easily beats them both. In my experience the Turtle Wax product doesn’t bead water as well as I had hoped/expected and the Meguiars product is quite messy to apply, being such a thick solution it’s easy to have it streak if you over apply (which is very easy to do!).This mother’s product in contrast is an absolute delight to apply, it seems vital for longevity that you leave it on the paint for a few minutes to bond, however even after sitting for 5 minutes or so it’s super easy to buff off. The gloss is amazing and the water beading is streets ahead of the Turtle Wax equivalent and even better to my eyes than the Meguiars product.Not sure if the previous reviewer had a faulty batch, or if there were other issues at play with the paint on his white car but I’ve had no issues at all with the product on my Glacier White Dacia Duster.The only area I can’t really comment on yet is longevity - I’ve had this on my two cars for about a week. Looking at reviews on YouTube if you spray on and wipe off without allowing the product to bond onto the paint it seems to last just a few washes, however if the directions are followed and the product is allowed to bond for a few minutes before being removed it lasts far longer. Either way the product can be applied to a wet or dry car so reapplication isn’t going to be an issue for me as it’s so easy to apply and seems terrific value.Well done Mothers - think I need to try some of your other products now! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality without the heavy price tag *by on Reviewed in Australia 10 April 2026* My second order over two years.
