Thanks** A: The Distance of Flame to Pot - Trangia vs Evernew vs Esbit Alcohol stoveTrangia Alcohol Stove - flame to bottom of pot is 5/8"Esbit Alcohol Stove - flame to bottom of pot is 5/8"Evernew Alcohol Stove - flame to bottom of pot is 1"I have all 3, but Evernew stove blooms quicker(30secs vs 60secs), is lighter weight, all boil 1 cup of water about the same depending on weather, climate and altitude.I have 3 sets of Evernew Titanium Alcohol Stove Cross Standsluv all 3 stoves with this pot stand, but impressed with Evernew Titanium AlcoholStove Cross Stands for compact (fits in my 600ml cup), lightweight alternativethan using other pot stands... Hope this helps! **Q: It says this can protect from wind. Would you still recommend a separate wind screen?** A: Thanks for your question. While this may provide some measure of protection from wind we would definitely recommend using some type of windscreen. **Q: Will this work in a basic aluminum can alcohol stove?** A: Make your stove out of one of the smaller diameter aluminum cans. I used a 5.5 ounce V8 can. (about 53mm diameter) Then, instead of this stand, get the newer model Evernew Cross Stand 2: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XSLXSLJ The newer stand costs more but it will stably fit down around the smaller diameter burner. This one will not. **Q: Will it work on this https://www.amazon.com/trangia-spirit-burner-with-screwcap/dp/b000ar7970/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t wont work on military 1** A: So, yes, and no. If one has just the stove without the simmer top, then yes, it will fit. If you think you want to use the simmer top (as one may do with the Trangia 25 and 27 cooksets with integrated wind shield and pot stand) then these cross stands (this one, and others sold here) then no, the stand will NOT fit. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/375129648-evernew-titanium-alcohol-stove-cross-stand](https://www.desertcart.no/products/375129648-evernew-titanium-alcohol-stove-cross-stand) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
