Made from reinforced polypropylene, these traps leverage bed bug behavior to trap pests effectively, helping you avoid infestations and costly exterminations while protecting your home and family. ## Description SHIELDFLEX | TruGuard X — 8 Pack (White) BED BUG DETECTION AND MONITORING SYSTEMThe ShieldFlex TruGuard X bed bug trap provides an easy way to identify the presence of bed bugs early. These reusable detectors monitor for bed bugs by surrounding bed posts where bed bugs are known to travel. After crawling into the slippery outer reservoir of the TruGuard X interceptors, bed bugs are unable to escape.☑ Helps detect the presence of bed bugs early to avoid continued proliferation.☑ Stop scratching and itching!☑ Protect your family and your home from unwanted pests.☑ DIY and avoid expensive extermination costs! HOW IT WORKSBed bugs (such as Cimex lectularius and Cimex hemipterus) are known to travel by crawling and are incapable of flying or jumping. In addition, bed bugs are attracted to carbon dioxide as an indicator of a food source. As a result, they are known to climb up bed posts and furniture legs in search of unwitting victims. To prevent unwanted bites and infestations, a TruGuard X trap can be placed under bed posts and furniture legs to stop bedbugs in their tracks before they gain access to you or your bed. Unsuspecting bugs crawl up the textured outer edges of the trap in pursuit of carbon dioxide produced by sleeping occupants and find themselves unable to escape the slippery, exterior reservoir—allowing you and your family to stay safe and rest easy. I had them on for quite a while and I was able to move my couch out a little bit and they didn't chip or crack. I did it a few times and nothing happened. Pretty durable. Review: Product seems sturdy enough but 4x4 dimension is misleading - It seems sturdy enough. They arrived unbroken and unused and with the correct number of traps, unlike what others have posted. It also does not have adhesive inside which some purchasers were expecting but that is not the way these are supposed to work. The sides of the trough are supposed be be so steep and smooth that once bed bugs get in they can't climb out. The 4x4 dimension is misleading because they measured it at the top of the trough but it angles inward down to the bottom and also because the corners are chamfered which further reduces the opening for a square or rectangular post. My measurements indicate that the maximum size of a square post that will fit is 3-5/16", the max size for a round post is 3-11/16" diameter, and the max size for a rectangular post is 3-11/16"x2-15/16" [If the longer side of a rectangular post is less than 3-5/16" it will fit, if it is longer than that but less than 3-11/16" it will still fit if the shorter side is less than or equal to 3-5/16" minus the amount the longer side was over. Example: long side is 3-9/16" (which is +4/16"), then if short side is less than or equal to 3-1/16" it will fit.] ## Features - ☑ DEPENDABLE, PASSIVE BED BUG PROTECTION — End your bed bug infestation before it spreads using the ShieldFlex TruGuard bed bug monitoring and detection system. The TruGuard bedbug interceptor for beds is an essential component of your bed bug treatment kit. Simply place a trap under each of your bed posts and furniture legs and let ShieldFlex do the work. - ☑ CUSTOM DESIGNED TO STOP BED BUGS DEAD IN THEIR TRACKS — The ShieldFlex TruGuard bed bug leg trap is specifically engineered to catch bed bugs where they are known to travel. ShieldFlex leverages known behavioral traits of bed bugs to prevent access to your beds and furniture. Bed bugs easily climb in the traps but cannot climb out. In addition, the TruGuard allows for bed bug early detection, letting you avoid delayed identification of potential infestations. - ☑ EXTRA THICK BASE PLATE TO AVOID CRACKING — Poorly constructed, generic products are prone to cracking under the weight of large beds and heavy furniture. But, the ShieldFlex TruGuard bedbug interceptor is constructed with a reinforced polypropylene base plate for added durability and strength. As a result, these custom-designed bedbug traps for bed legs are a critical piece of any complete bed bug removal strategy and will help you rest easy and keep your family safe. - ☑ PACK OF 8 FITS TWO BEDS OR PIECES OF FURNITURE — Each box includes eight bed bug interceptor traps that can be used to guard and protect two beds or other pieces of furniture. These traps can be used under beds, couches, chairs, love seats, and other furniture. For maximum effect, place one trap under each leg of any bed or furniture where protection is desired. In addition to homes and residences, TruGuard traps can also be used in hotels, dormitories, hospitals, hostels, and more. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0853DTRDZ | | Brand | SHIELDFLEX | | Brand Name | SHIELDFLEX | | Color | White | | Colour | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 551 Reviews | | Is Electric | No | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 15.5L x 15.5W x 9.5H centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.61 Kilograms | | Item weight | 0.61 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | ShieldFlex | | Material | Polypropylene (PP) | | Material Type | Polypropylene (PP) | | Number of Pieces | 8 | | Product dimensions | 15.5L x 15.5W x 9.5H centimeters | | Recommended Uses For Product | Monitoring | | Style | Custom | | Style Name | Custom | | Target Species | Bed Bug | | UPC | 850016741028 | | Unit Count | 8 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SHIELDFLEX - **Colour:** White - **Material:** Polypropylene (PP) - **Product dimensions:** 15.5L x 15.5W x 9.5H centimeters - **Style:** Custom ## Images ![Bed Bug Trap — 8 Pack | TruGuard X Bed Bug Interceptors (White) | Eco Friendly Bed Bug Traps for Bed Legs | Reliable Insect Detector, Interceptor, and Monitor for Pest Control and Treatment - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81SGCzrUFaL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the depth of the interceptor? My couch sits really low. About 1 inch clearance between bottom of leg and the couch.** A: The interior depth of the traps is almost exactly 1 inch. **Q: I ordered 8 and only received 7, can you send me 1 more?** A: I believe so **Q: Is this good for ticks?** A: I honestly don’t know the answer, however, I would venture on the side of yes. I have found Beatles, ants and even a spider or two in my interceptors. The outside is lightly textured to allow for the little critters to crawl up the side walls. Once they fall in the valley between the walls the sides are smooth and the bugs get no traction and thus are trapped. I would guess it should work the same for ticks. **Q: Is it true that the product is delivered in only the product box (not an additional generic cardboard box)?** A: Hi, thank you for reaching out. In an effort to cut down on packaging waste, Amazon will occasionally ship certain items in their original packaging without an enclosing Amazon box. We have been working with Amazon to ensure that our products always arrive in a discrete manner inside a generic Amazon box. At this time, however, we suggest that all customers select the option to "Ship in Amazon packaging" to ensure that the products arrive in a generic Amazon box. If this option does not appear for you, then the product will properly ship inside an Amazon box. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommended they look and feel flimsy but they're pretty durable *by N***E on 12 May 2026* When I bought these they looked and felt really cheap. I have seen stage 3-4 bedbugs climb out of the traps. Overall I think they are worth it at trapping most of the bugs. It is important to check the traps every morning and remove any trapped bedbugs. These give you an idea of just how many bedbugs you probably have. Personally I used these diatomaceous earth and a garment steamer to get rid of the bedbugs. It took a few months to completely get rid of them. The eggs are small and easy to miss. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bed Bug Trap — 8 Pack | TruGuard X Bed Bug Interceptors (White) | Eco Friendly Bed Bug Traps for Bed Legs | Reliable Insect Detector, Interceptor, and Monitor for Pest Control and Treatment - Harris Bed Bug Early Detection Glue Traps (4/Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/374975912-bed-bug-trap-8-pack-truguard-x-bed-bug-interceptors](https://www.desertcart.no/products/374975912-bed-bug-trap-8-pack-truguard-x-bed-bug-interceptors) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
