**Q: How can I install in an aluminum pergola?**
A: 1. Pre-drilling 2.6-3mm; 2. Tighten with a wrench or screwdriver; In addition, the thickness of the aluminum plate of the aluminum pergola determines the load-bearing capacity of the hook, and it is generally not recommended to hang items over 15 pounds on the aluminum pergola.

**Q: I received my today however, its missing the wing nutdriver. What do i need to do to have this sent?**
A: Send a response to amazon that you want these hooks replaced or returned as some of the parts are missing.  More than likely, that info will result in the missing item being sent to you

**Q: Will a 3/8" diameter led tube light be able to slide into it and let the retainer catch close fully?**
A: I measured the opening with the clip (catch) pushed all the way back and it is 1/2 inch. Plenty of room to get it in.
The trick is getting the retracted clip (catch) past it once it's in. That is your question. 
The clip at its at its narrowest point when you are opening or closing it is 3/8 inch.
I would say that if your advertised 3/8" tube light,  is actually 3/8 inches,  you should be good to go. 
Even if it was slightly bigger, it should smoosh through. All the rope lite type stuff I've seen is soft and pliable. Check yours for squishiness.  I'm no expert. Actually I haven't purchased or touched a tube lite or rope lite for at least 40 years. 
I say yes.... should fit nicely.

**Q: Can you install these on aluminum pergola if you pre-drill the hole?  If so, what drill size is recommended?**
A: Yes, the pre-drilled hole is 3mm, if you want to be more reliable, it can be slightly smaller, such as 2.6-2.8mm. However, it is not recommended to hang heavy objects.

Ok, so it's not exactly normal to be excited about hardware. Unless you're a goof tinkerer like me. I tend to throw stuff together to fit a need or lame idea I have floating around in my head. Long and short.....The 13 by 10 foot tent canopy we had on the deck was crushed by snow last winter. I left the canopy up, my bad. I saved the corner pieces and took a piece of scrap lumber that was laying around and made a " shelf" for my hanging plants and hummingbird feeders. It'll get me by until I build a permanent structure on the deck. In my box of what-not hardware I had a variety of screw in hooks. They were obviously too small and cheap to even handle a hummingbird feeder. I saw these hooks and figured I'd try them. Well, I have to say that I am in fact, excited by hardware now. LoL. They screwed into the polyethylene coated wood with a little tap, hold a 7 lb glass feeder with no problems. For giggles I even put a gallon size metal watering can that is full of soil and potted plants. It weights about 12 lbs dry and over 20 after the plant is watered. Needless to say, I've quite happy with these hooks. I do love the little locking lever, I didn't really think it would matter, but it does. I'll definitely be purchasing a few of the larger sizes to keep on hand for those off the wall ideas. Especially for use on the permanent structure we're going to build layer this summer.
