I cover it with a nice soft fitted sheet. **Q: What is this pad made of? Cotton, acrylic, polyester?** A: The tag reads 100% polyester..the top is cotton feel and the bottom lining the sets directly on the table feels like poly. **Q: How does this product stand up to frequent washing/drying? Can it be cleaned in a normal home size washing machine?** A: I have washed both pieces frequently and they are holding up beautifully, it may already say it on the washing instructions but I would definitely recommend NOT using fabric softener as it tends to mat up fabrics that need to stay fluffy. They fit easily in my home washer and dryer and come out perfectly every time. I have a table that I bring to clients houses that isn't as big or comfy as the one I have in my studio because I need it to be easy to lug around. This product is perfect. If I fold it up it fits well in my table carrying case without making it really bulky. Initially I thought I wanted one that was fitted on the corners but then I realized that I just needed something quick and easy and this is exactly that. I just put the straps around the corners and it's done! My sheets fit just fine over it. I use twin sheets but I have tried out the sheets that are made for tables and it's a tight squeeze but it works out. The face cradle cover is wonderful. It can literally be a pain to rest your face in the cradle and this really cushions it. I put a white cotton cover over it and then another handmade cover over that so I don't have to wash it as much. These do wash well though! I've thrown them in the machine many times. I put the cradle cover in a delicates bag and just wash them with sheets.
