Question 1

I'm still so confused about what the aluminum disc is for. The mat is really cool though.

Accepted Answer

Dear customer,
Thanks a lot for your question here and your attention to this high-quality work mat!

We’re delighted to share with you that inspired by actual use, the aluminum disc is Mainly designed for the application of micro reworking/desoldering.

The users find this little plate very beneficial when they use hot air while using microscope. Since the rubber might expand and bend a bit when meeting high heat. An aluminum plate will be consistently stationary regardless of any heat.

As good as the silicone work mat, not only us but also other customers regard the discs as a great addition to any Quality Work. And you can always define the use of this durable & high-quality Yihua M180 work mat!

We hope we can free you from your confusion now, but should you have any further questions or require assistance, please drop us an email at Amazon Messaging System(link is here: https://amzn.to/2mKq0EU). We will respond within 24 hrs!

Question 2

Where do I get the soldering iron holder made to fit the mat?

Accepted Answer

Dear Customer,
Thank you for leaving a question here.

As for the soldering iron holder that fits into the M180 heat-resistant silicone mat, we usually include such a holder as an accessory with YIHUA portable soldering irons, instead of selling such holders separately as individual items.

Here is our store’s link: www.amazon.com/yihua
If you go to the “SOLDERING” on the navigation bar and click “Portable” on its drop-down list, you will see a range of affordable YIHUA portable soldering iron kits that include the compatible soldering iron holders (match with the M180 mat).
