It fits several of my pots, even with different styles. Do not put it on with the burner on-it will heat up. Put it on after the pot is done being heated.
Review: Good handle cover - I use this on my 12" cast iron pan. It slides on and off with a little effort, but it is not completely snug. It does insulate, but it still gets quite warm. So you can use it to hold the pan while stirring, or to rotate the pan, or slide it to another burner. But I would not rely on it for lifting the pan. I recommend using pot holders to do that.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this longer than the actual handle for 10.5" skillet?**
A: My skillet is approx. 10". It was too long for the handle and MUCH too loose. I would have been fine with it being too long IF it had fit somewhat securely. I cut off the end (about an inch) so it would not be too long, and then used it to move my hot cast iron pan to the sink to wash with hot water and my chainmail steel thing. I was holding it as firmly as I could, but the pan SLIPPED OUT of the jacket (the first time I used it) and had there been anything breakable just beneath it in the sink, it would have been broken or shattered. I would recommend this only for the LARGEST skillets -- and even then you won't know for sure until you use it, because it is very roomy within.

**Q: Can I leave this on when it's on the oven?**
A: If you leave it on, it will get hot just like the pan.  Use it on the pan to take out of oven and to protect from grabbing hot handles once the pan has been removed from the oven.

**Q: Would this possibly slip over an old Revere ware coffee pot handle to protect it when I'm using it on a campfire?**
A: They didn't fit my pan handles, so I gave them to friends.  HOWEVER, just from a practical point, I personally would NOT use them on a campfire.

**Q: Can this holder be used on GreenPan Skillets pans?**
A: I am not sure but it is plenty big and fits all of my different long handled skillets

I use this on my 12" cast iron pan. It slides on and off with a little effort, but it is not completely snug. It does insulate, but it still gets quite warm. So you can use it to hold the pan while stirring, or to rotate the pan, or slide it to another burner. But I would not rely on it for lifting the pan. I recommend using pot holders to do that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, but the fit is a little loose

This silicone handle cover does the job—it definitely makes grabbing my cast iron pan way safer and more comfortable. No more worrying about burning my hand on a scorching hot handle! Only downside is that it runs a little big and feels a bit loose on the pan. It still works fine, just not as snug as I expected. I might try a different brand for a better fit, but overall it’s a solid kitchen helper.
