HOWEVER if you take off the toggle for the different settings and just use the plug the default color when turned on is constant soft white and will stay that way when turning off and on. **Q: How many channels of lights does this sring have?** A: If I remember right 6 to 7 different patterns **Q: Light setting .. how do you keep the lights on one mode instead of doing all 8?** A: There is a button on the plug area, you press it until it gets to the mode you want. The only issue is, when you turn them off, they start over with all modes when they go back on and you have to change it every time. **Q: Cheaper leds tend to have a high frequency flicker that's annoying to many. i see no mention of the power supply preventing it, any comments?** A: We love the lights themselves. Of the 8 blinking options, we find only option 2 somewhat acceptable. All other option just blink too fast. The fading option is somewhat ok except that it it shuts off the lights completely before coming back on again. FYI, we use the lights indoors. ## Customer Reviews ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ nice improvement for our tree *by on Reviewed in the United States November 17, 2023* We stripped the old lights off our ten year old, 7' artificial, indoor xmas tree because half of the old bulbs did not work and at least a dozen sockets were missing bulbs. I never liked the fact that the old bulbs emitted quite a bit of heat and were not energy efficient along with being frail and finicky. It was a bit painstaking removing the old wire, a lot of which was wrapped tightly around the branches. (Sorry to even have to say this but obviously the lights were not plugged in during the cutting of the wires). The dazzle lights are an excellent replacement. They are small, lightweight and unobtrusive but give plenty of light without being overwhelming. The rule of thumb is 100 lights per vertical foot of tree so we bought two 300 led coils (each approx. 100 feet long) which seems more than adequate. The bulbs are spaced 3.94 inches apart (old ones were about 8" apart) and the lead in wire (no bulbs) is 16 1/2 feet. We happen to have an outlet close by and only needed 4-5' of lead wire but it was simple to coil the extra wire and easily hide it near the center of the tree. One of the other reviews mentioned entanglement of the light string, therefore I carefully fed the new bulbs out of the factory coil without any problems as I walked around the tree with the coil grasped in one hand. I'd say this would only be a problem if you have small hands. The light strings connect together quite simply and again the extra lead wire on second string is simple to hide. Installing the two strings took about 15 minutes. There is a button on the plug for the different functions which I would not define as a remote control, so no rating for that category. I have not played around with the different functions other than a quick test.
