Not sure what "John Q Customer" was doing, but do not follow his wiring. This will eventually burn up the control, which is why he felt the heatsink getting super hot.I bought this to control speed of a 12vdc bilge fan I bought for a swamp cooler.Follow the wiring diagram. IT IS CORRECT.RED-connect to (fan+) & 12vdc supply POS "should be 3 wires"Black-connect to 12vdc supply NEG "should 2 wires"BLUE-connect to (fan-)Essentially, the control is regulating the NEG not the POS. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't buy *by on Reviewed in the United States October 29, 2023* I hooked two of these up today Oct 28th 2023 and both of them burnt up.
