It supports up to 10 circuits, features indicator lights for power source status, and is upgradeable to an automatic standby switch, making it a future-ready solution for seamless generator integration. ## Description Generac’s 6853 HomeLink™ upgradeable manual transfer switch is a pre-wired electrical device that’s installed next to your home’s circuit panel. During an outage, it delivers power to hard-wired appliances (such as furnace, well pump and lights) with the push of a button, safely and easily – eliminating the need for multiple extension cords. It comes standard with 8 circuits, expandable to 10 circuits. When you’re ready to install an automatic home standby generator, a certified electrician will change out the panel located in the HomeLink with an automatic switch upgrade panel and new faceplate – and it’s ready to be connected to a home standby generator (11 kW maximum). ## Features - Flexible Upgrade Option: The Generac 6853 HomeLink transfer switch is designed to be upgradeable, allowing for future conversion to an automatic home standby transfer switch when needed - Power Source Indicator: Equipped with indicator lights that inform you about the presence of utility or generator power, providing you with essential information during power outages - Reliable Power Delivery: Safely powers hard-wired appliances, including furnace, well pump, and lights, ensuring continuous operation during emergencies or power disruptions - Expandable Circuit Capacity: Comes with 8 circuits, expandable to 10 circuits, and accepts standard, tandem, GFCI, and arc fault breakers for increased versatility - Versatile Power Solution: Ideal for various applications, from small houses, greenhouses, and tents to tiny homes, inflatables, and outdoor activities, making it a portable and efficient power option - Easy Installation: Generac recommends your new transfer switch to be installed by a certified and licensed electrician ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00V4NDG12 | | Actuator Type | Push Button | | Best Sellers Rank | #59,939 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #39 in Outdoor Generator Transfer Switches | | Brand Name | Generac | | Circuit Type | 1-way | | Color | Multi | | Compatible Devices | Generators starting at 5kW with 30-Amp L14-30 receptacle | | Connectivity Protocol | Wi-Fi | | Connector Type | Nema 14-30r | | Contact Material | Copper | | Contact Type | Normally Open | | Control Method | Touch | | Control Type | Simple | | Current Rating | 30 A | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (107) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00696471068535 | | Included Components | Generac 6853 30 Amp Indoor Transfer Switch Kit | | International Protection Rating | IP54 | | Item Dimensions | 27.2 x 26 x 26.5 inches | | Item Type Name | Portable Generator | | Item Weight | 27 pounds | | Lower Temperature Rating | 70.3 °F | | Manufacturer | Generac | | Material Type | solid | | Model | 6853 | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Positions | 10 | | Operating Voltage | 240 volts_of_alternating_current | | Operation Mode | ['Manual'] | | Part Number | 6853 | | Specification Met | UL | | Switch Type | Manual | | Terminal | Physical | | UPC | 696471068535 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 100.12 °F | | Wattage | 11 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Generac - **Connector Type:** Nema 14-30r - **Contact Type:** Normally Open - **Current Rating:** 30 A - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 27.2 x 26 x 26.5 inches - **Material:** solid - **Operating Voltage:** 240 volts_of_alternating_current - **Operation Mode:** ['Manual'] - **Switch Type:** Manual - **Terminal:** Physical ## Images ![6853 HomeLink Manual Transfer Switch - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71vb7pZyhgL.jpg) ![6853 HomeLink Manual Transfer Switch - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41vA6shwvoL.jpg) ![6853 HomeLink Manual Transfer Switch - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51CU4fjaihL.jpg) ![6853 HomeLink Manual Transfer Switch - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/518a21lCcwL.jpg) ![6853 HomeLink Manual Transfer Switch - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Yr2dxjVAL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern, Style** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Generac 6853 HomeLink Upgradeable 30 Amp Transfer Switch Kit - Reliable Power Solution for Homes - 10' Cord and Resin Power Inlet Box - Champion Power Equipment 25-Foot 30-Amp 250-Volt Generator Power Cord for Manual Transfer Switch (L14-30P to L14-30R) - Reliance Controls Generators Up to 7,500 Running Watts PB30 30-Amp NEMA 3R Power Inlet Box, Gray --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/36596911-6853-homelink-manual-transfer-switch](https://www.desertcart.no/products/36596911-6853-homelink-manual-transfer-switch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
