Review: UPDATE: First Impressions - UPDATE: My AirPods are dying and have been constantly dropping Bluetooth with my phone, so I borrowed these from my daughter to wear for the day. I have had the right bud in for 7.5 hours and the battery percentage (which actually does show up on my phone screen in the control center) shows that I still have 40% battery life left. I also have not dropped Bluetooth once (!) and they still feel comfortable and light in my ear. I’m pretty astounded, actually. My AirPods would have died hours ago. The only issue I had was when I received a phone call. My phone rang, as well as hearing the ringing through the earbud, but when I answered, it did not automatically connect to the earbud at all. I had to talk into the phone normally. I also have noticed a distinct difference in the bass level between these and the AirPods. I don’t know how much of it has been the slow death of the AirPods, but these sound so much better than the first time I tried them. 10/10. Do it. Old Review: I heard these were a pretty decent earbud set for the price and decided to try them out as a backup set. I’m coming from AirPod Pro (1st Generation) and prior to that, the Jabra 75t. I have to admit, this isn’t bad for a $25 set of earbuds. One of the reasons I switched from the Jabra 75t’s (aside from the fact I had to get warranty replacements TWICE), was because I wanted to be able to use each earbud interchangeably and Jabra did not have that at the time. I’m actually quite surprised that JLab included the functionality for this price point. The charger being built into the bottom of the case was a nice touch and I appreciate that both earbuds go in the case magnetically, as well as the lid being magnetic as well. It paired easily with my iPhone 15 Pro and my daughter’s iPad. These are definitely lighter than both my Jabras and Pros. They fit in the ear nicely and I could see myself being able to wear them for a while (doing most things) and not have them fall out. My ears must be different sizes because my Pros consistently fall out of my left ear, but stay pretty good in my right ear. There isn’t an app for these, so while you can change songs, adjust volume, and use Siri by pressing the buttons on the earbuds, you won’t be able to tweak any part of the sound. You also will not be able to check the battery percentage and will have to go off the audio prompts it gives you. These also do not have noise-cancelling capabilities (which I honestly wouldn’t expect at the low price). So, here’s where I’m taking off one star…the sound. I’m not an audiophile. I don’t typically listen to music so the majority of my use is podcasts, audiobooks, or YT/Twitch vids. The sound is a bit muted (…not an audiophile) and not quite as clear as my Pros. For that reason, I likely will not use them unless I need to charge both my Pro earbuds at the same time…and both my Jabra’s are dead, haha. They would be fine in a pinch, but not something I would choose if my Pros are available. I also cannot speak to the battery life as I haven’t used them for more than a couple minutes, but what they promise (32 hours) is extremely impressive. I ended up giving them to my daughter to use as she only has over the ear headphones. I will say it’s a great first set of earbuds for kids as you do get a lot of great features in a lower priced set.

**Q: Dumb question as I've never owned a smart phone before:  Can I make/receive calls thru these with smart phone or is it just for listening to music?**
A: not dumb, interesting... Bravo on surviving the temptation of a smartphone for so long. This will pair with anything that uses a Bluetooth audio profile, whether it is your smartphone, your non smartphone, your laptop, a tablet, maybe even any bluetooth audio transmitter? So if you are on your computer on a video call, you can use these to communicate instead of a separate microphone/speaker thingy. with Dual Connect, you do not need both earbuds or one specific one in your ear. if you feel like listening with just one year and the other ear is aware of the surroundings, you can do that. That way you will not yell on your video or phone calls and also be aware of people around you.

**Q: Is there anyway to tell when the case needs charging? does the light blink differently on the front?**
A: Hi. I would like to answer your good question
 Case has blue, green and red light indicate. A  blinking red light means the case has less than 25 percent left. When the case is plugged in, solid red shows when it's charging, and the light changes to green when that's complete. Last, a blue light pulses when the earbuds are charging, and it goes off when that process is complete.

**Q: Where are the extra gel tips for the earbuds? It said it comes with small medium & large! Mine only came with the pair already on the earbuds**
A: I thought the same thing too. The extra ear buds are hidden in the top section of the box. Unfold all sections the package the ear buds came in until the package is completely flat (and ready for recycling).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice low cost option

I have purchased quite a few different earbuds and headphones in search of that diamond in the rough. I have the same criteria as most people who buy these earbuds: -Needs to sound decent with some decent bass -Caller can hear me well and I can hear them well -Fit in the ear well -Not destroy my wallet (i.e., needs to be somewhere south of $35) -Have a reasonable battery life Pros: -Good battery life -Good sound -Decent call quality -Decent bluetooth -Cost Cons: -Controls are hit or miss -JLabs app is worthless -Short USB connection I compared these to my Skullcandy Sesh Evo's and Poly BT5500's. They come well packaged, with the normal ear cushions to fit different ear sizes. I found that I was able to find a set that fit my ears well and still provided decent sound isolation. They paired right up to all devices I tested them with (phones and laptops). They work pretty well - battery life is good. Phone call quality is reasonable and callers indicate they can hear me just fine (both phone and laptop connections). Sound quality from them is good - the different sound profiles can be a bit gimmicky - I found the Signature or Bass Boost profiles to be the ones I used the most. I like Signature for more instrumental/standard music but prefer the Bass Boost for Hip Hop. They do not have as much bass as the Skullcandy Sesh, but comparable to the Poly. The BT5500's sound better overall for a wider range of music, but I prefer the Sesh probably the most (they also get much louder than the other two). Bluetooth connectivity was quite good - much better than the Skullcandy that has dropped frequently with my Samsung phone (even when in my pocket). I have only had one incident with the earbuds not syncing correctly. Charging is also a bit better in the sense that the Sesh earbuds have a tendency to not fully seat and then not charge (which is annoying when you go to use them). They also appear to stay charged better than the BT5500's. The cost for these is a real steal for how well they work. The interface/controls sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I don't usually use the earbud controls for my music (just grab the phone and do it), but the triple tap to cycle sound profiles only works sometimes. I downloaded the JLab app, but it pretty much doesn't do anything, so I uninstalled it. I don't like the USB charge cord setup. It is ridiculously short and integrated into the case. I get that it makes it theoretically easier to charge it as you don't "need" a cord, but all it does is make it difficult to connect to a charger. A USB C-port or a USB micro port would make it easier to connect. I don't mind having to have a cord if I'm going to have to provide the USB adapter to charge it. All in all though, these are a decent option. Time will tell on durability, but these are a good option for those not wanting to break the bank but still get good sound. Are they the best out there? Likely not, but the cost is outstanding and they check the box for functionality.
