It covers me and my rucksack very well,its big so will suit most people This Snug pack one fitted the bill,price was high but if it lasts me for a few years then thats great Certainly cheaper than a Gortex jacket! Easy to put on and deploy from its small stuff sack,although you will need to fold the poncho neatly so it goes into the small sack. Hang the poncho up to dry before putting away The material is nylon,with a decent waterproof coating,its not breathable but you have lots of air circulating underneath,the taped seams are strong,a decent front zip and decent sized hood that can be adjusted with a Velcro tab and pull cords. The sleeves are elasticated at the ends with thumb holes if you need them, A handy full sized waterproof pouch on the front with strong Velcro .for gloves and things It tends to blow around a bit when its windy,but a good stretchy belt, paracord or something around the waist will keep the material in check You can machine wash this poncho but read the instructions and use a quality detergent/water proofer, like you would with most outdoor gear. Not you usual laundry detergent! Overall very pleased

**Q: Ok, I love the poncho.... but I had a hard time stuffing it all back in the stuff sack. Some reviewers found this easy. Has anyone got any tips?**
A: Guys trust me I got you. Fold in half shoulder to shoulder then again the same way then Ranger Roll. The stuff sack is easy to get it into, and I can carry it in a leg cargo pocket

**Q: "one size fits all"? how big is it, do you think it will fit a XXL size?**
A: I agree with the other responses, in the tent-like structure of this poncho, which is 39" from the top of the shoulder to the bottom front; 51" from the top of the shoulder to the bottom back, and 45" under the arms, would fit an XXL with ease. I think that if you have long arms, the dimensions that might concern you, which are not related to size, are the width from wrist to wrist, which is 64"; and, size of the forearm area, which starts at about 10" high, extends about 9", ending at 4" high at the wrist, and then is gathered by elastic which is 3 and 1/4".  The elastic extends comfortably to 5".  Note that I took these dimensions by laying the item flat on the floor, and measuring it, and the wrinkled nature of the material may result in slight measurement errors.the front length of the poncho from the top of the shoulder to bottom, which is 45"; and, the back length of the poncho, which is approximately 58".

**Q: How many inches wide is this poncho?**
A: It's about 4ft wide..trust me its wide enough to fit you and your pack with a lot of room left....It's a great poncho..I was in the market for raingear that was thin enough to pack into my pack while hikeing..I also didn't want to use a pack cover that's just one more thing to make sure I pack into my pack..This poncho is a perfect fit for me..It packs small about the size of a scarf all folded up..Also it fits right over my gear with room enough to do anything...It's a great poncho and I don't really like ponchos I would rather have a rain suit or gear that is waterproof...But I'm very happy I stumbled upon this great piece of gear..Although my maxpedition pack is water resistant I love the fact that the patrol poncho fit over me and my pack and folds up nice and petite....ITS A A GREAT BUY....
