I went with GEARWRENCH because I have some of their wrenches and sockets, and they seem to be of high quality and highly regarded by product testers. This GEARWRENCH 20 Piece 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive Extension, Universal Joint and Adapter Set is nice in that you get four extensions of varying length at each of the 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" drive sizes, plus joints and adapters. The pieces are of high quality, lock firmly in place, but release with a reasonable amount of force. Between the extensions and universal joints, you have the functionality to get into the most challenging places. The adapters allow you to use different-sized sockets with your wrenches for specialty items like spark plug sockets. If you don't watch for sales, the price can be a little high for what you get compared to other manufacturers from Taiwan or China. Maybe tariffs have caused prices to rise compared to a few years ago, but I was surprised this set didn't cost a little less. I watched it for months before buying, and the $55.27 price was the best that I saw. Would buy again, but I suspect I will never need to. They should last a lifetime. Review: good - good ## Features - Ball detent for secure socket retention - Universal joint allows for greater access - Extensions have knurled section for better finger tip control - Professional, full polish chrome finish is easy to clean ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08P29C21V | | Best Sellers Rank | #116,733 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #551 in Socket Wrenches | | Bit Compatibilities | 1/2", 1/4", 3/8" | | Bit Set Composition | Bit Set | | Brand | GEARWRENCH | | Brand Name | GEARWRENCH | | Country of Publication | Taiwan | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 out of 5 stars 442 Reviews | | Drive Bit Application | automotive | | Drive Bit Shank Style | Square | | Drive System | Nutsetter | | Drive system | Nutsetter | | Finish Types | Polished | | Finish type | Polished | | Included Components | Set Includes: 1/4" Drive Universal Joint - 3/8" Drive Universal Joint - 1/2" Drive Universal Joint - 1/4" Drive Extensions: 2", 3", 6", 10" - 3/8" Drive Extensions: 1-1/2", 3", 6", 12" - 1/2" Drive Extensions: 3", 5", 10", 15" - Adapter 1/4"F x 3/8"M - Adapter 3/8"F x 1/4"M - Adapter 3/8"F x 1/2"M - Adapter 1/2"F x 3/8"M - Adapter 1/2"F x 3/4"M | | Item Type Name | Extension & Adapter Set | | Item Weight | 2.71 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Apex Tool Group | | Manufacturer Part Number | 81315A-07 | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Model Number | 81315A-07 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 20 | | Number of pieces | 20 | | Set Name | 20 Piece Extension, Universal Joint and Adapter Set | | UPC | 099575813153 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GEARWRENCH - **Drive system:** Nutsetter - **Finish type:** Polished - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Number of pieces:** 20 ## Images ![20 Pc. 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive Extension, Universal Joint and Adapter Set - 81315A-07 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81BqmcgTg3L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Set, Price a Little High *by A***S on 7 December 2025* I needed more extensions and universal joints for my socket wrench set. The ball detent and spring were still making it difficult to put sockets on and take off. Worked much better after applying oil to ball detent hole. It would be nice if this was done during manufacturing. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/354029853-20-pc-1-4-3-8-1-2-drive-extension](https://www.desertcart.no/products/354029853-20-pc-1-4-3-8-1-2-drive-extension) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
