I have an outswinging door onto my fire escape and need extra security. Thank you.** A: I don't think it will help on a swing door. It is made to be mounted on a sliding door. Your best bet is going to Home Depot and buying a latch mechanism that locks and will work on your swing door. **Q: Can you mount this if if the outside door is the slider** A: Good question. If the exterior panel is the operating door it is not an Andersen and I would not recommend this lock as it is specifically made for Andersen gliding doors. **Q: Is this Andersen auxiliary security lock, foot latch-white can use on a out swing patio door? A product from another vendor would be needed. A quick search on Amazon I found (search Amazon for this part number) B00YQ79GC6 which depending on your situation (single or double doors) may offer some additional security for children. **Q: Is there a left or right.
