Will this turn Aluminum gray? Would like to use in an ultrasonic cleaner heated. Other cleaners turn the alu. parts gray

This is an acid and will instantly dissolve the clear oxidation present on aluminum. The result is absolutely a dull aluminum raw surface which must be polished after. Personally, the best way to clean aluminum parts is in a vibratory tumbler with walnut shell media with a bottle of aluminum polish added in. Parts come out like a mirror.
