Derwent Academy Watercolour 36 Tin

Really nice quality for the pencils and the case the case is a nice sturdy metal and closes nice and tight and the pencils draw really smooth the colour goes on the paper really smooth and shows up well like they're really pigmented i think is how you would say it and they blend well. A great buy for the price I'd say

Such a great variety of colors and for a wonderful price. Glad I bought these. The only issue is that the tin lid doesn't stay shut very well but I've seen that issue on all water color tins...easily fixed with a rubber band around it!

I absolutely love these watercolor pencils. I have used several brands and as far as watercolors go .... this brand is by far the best! I have been drawing and painting in every medium possible since ever since I was able to hold a crayon or a brush. This product Is a breath of fresh air Made me love art All over again...

Nice set of watercolor pencils, as this is my first ever set, I don't have anything to compare them to, so I'm not sure if they are good or bad. They work well for what I need them for, so that's good enough for me

I got this set for my 96-year-old artist friend, because in the assisted-living home where she now resides, she didn't dare use her usual oil paints. I had previously purchased a set of Derwent Watercolor Pencils and I love how they blend and the gradations of color you can achieve using them..

I ordered this set because I am starting to learn watercolors and I wanted to try watercolor pencils also. I knew that Derwent is a good product, but didn't realize there was that much difference between their Academy brand and their Artist brand. I found them very hard to blend, but as I said, I am just learning. I plan on taking them to my next class for more instruction on how to use them. They are a nice selection of colors and the colors are bright.

i didnt see any review on amazon before i bought it. i like the white tin box design and wooden color pencil style very much. i also watched a video about this product on YouTube from derwent. it is nice and i see the result of these lovely watercolor pencils. i really very happy to get it. good price compare to another brand. of course good quality in academy level.

I love using these water color pencils. What a perfect selection of colors for my creative art in its many expressions. I'm impressed by how easy they are to use & the wonderful results they provide.

I bought this set for my son who's 8 years old, drops thing like anything, but to my surprise this set of pencils can take a fall, without breaking the lead inside, which doesn't fall off when sharpening. Colour is rich and vibrant. Comes in nice tin box. But the delivery made it dented. Amazon should take care of packaging like bubble wraps. Otherwise loved it.

I have a positive opinion when it comes to Derwent; when it comes to the Academy line I had some concerns regarding quality, however they just feel great, of course are not as vibrant as the regular watercolour line, but they do the job. If you're thinking about poor quality based on the price, I'll say is not the case... if you're in a budget, but want to try watercolour or haven't use them before and want to experiment you should get them.

This is great option as gift or a edc as the colours are smooth and durable quality, The package was undamaged but of the 3 same items that I bought the 3rd piece has visible dents in 2 slots on the top lid as this is a party gift would not like to give 1 person a damaged item when the other 2 people with the same item have a better one so have returned the damaged piece
