Works Amazingly - BUT kills the batteries after just 1-2 uses
UPDATING REVIEW: While I continue to believe this is a good product that works well, the LED blue light runs the two (2) batteries down in about 1.5X of use!! I’ve held off ‘blaming’ the LED light as I had to consider it might have been that the batteries were bad. BUT I’ve purchased batteries THREE (3) times and it’s obvious the LED light is just killing the batteries,,, which really stinks because what am I do to,,, keep buying batteries, like 3-4X a week??? Aye aye aye,,, ~~~~~~~~~~ This product is FABULOUS!! It’s very easy to use. **LOOK at my pictures as this is the difference of after only TWO (2) uses of 25mins each** **I’ve had ZERO sensitivity issue as well** The (well, MY) ‘lessons learned’ are these: 1) Make sure you open the battery area and remove the very thin plastic disc between the batteries!! This was to ensure the contraption didn’t go on before it reached you 1a) What I did was instead of keeping that verreee little & thin plastic disc -- I simply just turn both batteries over, after using, to ensure the light doesn’t accidentally turn on while in the box 2) I have to say, while I haven’t used the provided plastic teeth trays, it’s only because I have previously fitted ones from my Dentist so I use those. BUT- I can see if you properly use HOT HOT WATER to make the trays fit your teeth areas, I can see that should work 3) What I do is that after use, I keep EVERYTHING in the box so everything is safe and not lost 3a) I personally believe it is VERREEE IMPORTANT to properly wrap up the blue light contraption after use. Thus, I simply place it back in its plastic zippy-lock AND then I wrap it in doubled up a paper towel to keep it safe. It still fits puurrfectly back in the box 4) Now, this is just ME, but I don’t do my back molars. I do my teeth that always show PLUS the following two teeth *** You’ll see from my pictures what teeth ‘really’ show even when your over exaggerating *** **** LOOK AT MY PICTURES **** Again, this difference is after only TWO (2) uses of 25mins each time **** **** AND - I’ve had zero sensitivity **** I love this product and would recommend to anyone!!

Not as fast as the dentist but is almost as good.
This is a fantastic product. It's not as powerful as what you would get at the dentist. It will give you VERY similar results but instead of one treatment at the dentist you will have to do several treatments with this kit but there is plenty of whitening gel to get as close to a dentist level whitening treatment as you can without the dentist visit and the dentist price. Some people noted gum pain and tooth sensitivity but I did not experience any pain or sensitivity and I have less than perfect gums. Really the only negative thing I can say about this whitening kit is the instructions don't tell you if you are supposed to do the whitening gel first or the mineral replenishment treatment first. I did the whitening gel first and then the mineral gel second and it seemed to work. Also it says you are supposed to do the treatment every 2-3 days. I do my top teeth only on day one both whitening and mineral gel and then day two I do the bottom teeth and then just repeat every day after till you are out. The kit comes with 3 mouth trays (like a sports mouth piece), a hard plastic mouth piece storage container, a blue whitening light (battery is included), a plastic translucent teeth shade chart that kinda looks like a clear credit card with about 25 different teeth shades from natural white(very slightly yellow) to dude did you take a yellow sharpie and color your teeth. You get two syringes (5cc each) of the whitening gel and two syringes (5cc each) of the mineral replenishment gel. You only whiten the front of your front teeth that you can see when smiling. One treatment for your upper teeth only uses 0.5cc of gel so unless you have a large set of teeth like Gary Beucy you should have around 10 whitening and 10 mineral replenishmen treatments for your upper teeth and the same amount for your bottom teeth.

1 Star Product (for me), but 5 Star Company Customer Service
I'm surprised by all the great reviews for this product because it did not work for me at all (the method or the whitening). I used it 3-4 times and saw absolutely no change (by the time I've used Crest white strips 3-4 times I've seen some improvement). The method itself is tedious and time consuming. 10-20 minutes for the top teeth to whiten, then 15 minutes for remineralization. Then repeat for the bottom teeth for a total of about an hour each treatment. If it was just a white strip sized item it would be okay, but I found the trays to be bulky and awkward (I have a fairly small mouth so perhaps it would be more comfortable for other people and/or perhaps some people can whiten their top and bottom teeth at the same time). Trying to use the light made it even worse. If I saw any whitening at all I may have stuck with it, but it just wasn't worth the hassle. I did try increasing the amount of product I used each time and it didn't make a difference. I wanted to try this because people said it was good for sensitive teeth (and at the time I bought it it was flagged by Amazon as a recommended product in some fashion), but I'll just stick with Crest white strips and space out the treatments so my teeth don't feel as sensitive. UPDATE: After posting my review yesterday, Active Wow contacted me saying they were sorry the product didn't work for me, and they offered me a full refund (they did not request that I change or remove my review - the original is still above). I appreciated this for a couple of reasons. One, of course, is getting my money back (I purchased this product several months ago so I was certainly outside any reasonable return or refund window - I only reviewed it now because I was cleaning and came across the rest of the unused product). Two, they clearly take the time to read reviews and try to make things right for unsatisfied customers. As of the time I'm writing this, they have close to 1,000 reviews with 82% of them being 5 stars. They really don't need to reach out to the few people who have issues with the product. Customer service can be so hit or miss when you're actively seeking it out, so I was very pleasantly surprised that they took the initiative to contact me. Unfortunately it was a 1 star product for me, but the company has 5 star customer service.

Works!
This whitening kit comes exactly as described, and its pretty easy to use. The directions are straightforward, and lead you into making a mouth guard using hot water. *** Make sure you use WARM water, not HOT *** if the water is too hot, you will make the plastic too soft, and you may ruin the guard. The kit actually comes with three mouth guards, in case you destroy one by accident. As for the results, I didn't find a difference after one use. After three uses at maximum strength, (leaving the clear gel on for 20 mins) I have noticed a subtle change, which is encouraging. I am committed to finishing the whole product. I've started to put a little bit of the clear gel in the mouth guard before putting it in, just to ensure even coverage. The clear gel will sting your gums if you get enough on them, like pouring peroxide on a cut. You'll have to get used to getting the gel on your teeth with a q-tip and with the mouth guard, and go for moderation. The blue gel is a remineralization agent, but is also supposed to reduce tooth sensitivity. I haven't had any sensitivity since I have used it, but I use the blue gel once in a while anyways.

Pearly White
The package came in as if it was store bought, no damage and sealed perfect upon arrival. As I tried it the first time, I did not see results just yet, but kept my positivity. As per instructions, I was dedicated to give this a try. On my second week, I started seeing the difference. How I can tell is by looking at the hardest part of my teeth that seems to not lighten in color which is my bottom, the areas that are closest to my gums. I'm skeptical at first, but I had to make sure to give it some time. For others who has darker stains, I'd say keep using it until all gone. The first time I applied the gel, I timed it for 20 minutes. The other times I had it leave on for 17 minutes. Results, looked in the mirror and it was pearly white! I'm a coffee drinker everyday and the stains can make a person look older in age. The clear gel was sensitive to my teeth once, so I added the blue gel after the clear gel treatment, and it seems to clear the sensitivity. Dental treatments are costly and time consuming, this can be treated at my convenience. The blue LED light seems to give it a boost in whitening my teeth. I have tried many teeth whitener in the past and this seems wonderful!

Completed garbage
Would NOT recommend at all. When I unboxed it, I took out the led light mouth piece and put new batteries in and checked if the light worked. It was barely working. The dimmest light ever. Put different batteries in, same thing. I thought oh well maybe it’s supposed to be like that. I molded the tray to my teeth and waited for it to cool down. Then I added the gel to the tray and popped it in. IMMEDIATELY I felt pain in my gums where the gel made contact. But I just figured that might be how it is and you have to get over it. So I waited 15 minutes. Idk how I made it that long. Once the 15 minutes was over I took it out and looked at my teeth. They looked a little whiter but then I noticed my gums were bright white and red. Like a speckled color. I couldn’t even feel my gums they were numb and in extreme pain at the same time. I also noticed my gum line was raised quite a bit in my top row of teeth, a LOT. Then I checked the mouth piece and the led light wasn’t even on. And it wouldn’t turn on at all. So in short don’t waste you’re money. Get a more reliable teeth whitening kit somewhere else

Pro-Results for a Fraction of the Price
I purchased the Active Wow Teeth Whitening Kit based on the positive feedback of Amazon customers and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I was able to achieve the same professional results as my wife experienced using a $150 kit she purchased from the dentist. My teeth were drastically whiter after only 2 treatments (to my desired whiteness after 4 treatments) and I was a smoker in the past and I am a current heavy daily consumer of coffee. The mint flavor is pleasant but very mild. You will hardly taste anything. Over the course of four applications, I experienced extremely mild tooth sensitivity on the initial application only and zero sensitivity thereafter. My only complaint is that the kit should include a better means of applying the whitener to your teeth along with more detailed instructions. The kit instructs you to apply the whitener using a q-tip but does not get into much detail. I found the whitening gel to be thick and hard to apply using a q-tip (as recommended) but after some experimentation with the product I have the following tips/take-aways: - Be sure to dry your teeth using a cloth or paper towel before attempting to spread the gel onto your teeth. If your teeth are wet, the thick globs of gel will slide around on top of your teeth in lieu of spreading. If your teeth are dry, you can spread it much easier and more consistently. - Apply gel to each tooth individually. - After coating your teeth in the gel, I would recommend coating the inside of the trays lightly but consistently to help cover any areas of your teeth you may have missed with the q-tip. I say this because the gel is transparent and sometimes it is difficult to see if you have coated them all consistently. - Make sure you soak the trays in hot water for an adequate amount of time so they melt enough to mold to your teeth. A tight fit is essential to keeping the whitening gel from escaping the molds. I recommend sucking in very hard while molding them to your teeth, suction seems to be very effective in molding the trays to the contour of your teeth in addition to pressing around the molds simultaneously. - I noticed white spotting on my teeth after an application and I panicked. Do not be alarmed, after some research, I found out that the spotting is a result of dehydration. After an hour or two the spots disappeared and my teeth had a consistent color. I highly recommend this product and I will use it again and again. After four applications (and achieving my desired level of whitening), I still have 2 unused tubes of whitening gel for future use (potentially 8 more future applications).

Possible user error?
Ok disclaimer- I bought this in December 2018 and finally found “free time” to use this in July 2019. I have mildly sensitive teeth so the first 3 uses I only left the whitening gel on for 10 minutes. After not experiencing much sensitivity, I did another 3 tries at 20 min each. My teeth are probably (subjectively) a 5/10 on the white scale, with 10 being fresh white t-shirt white. After 6 uses, I think my teeth whitened to a 6/10. Did the whitening gel expire? I can’t find an expiration date. Are my teeth really whitening and I just can’t tell? Not sure, because I also didn’t take “before” photos. Anyway, I am typing this review while I am using Crest whitestrips with the blue light that came with the kit. I’ve decided to go back to the whitestrips because they always gave me consistent results, although at a slower pace. I was hoping the trays + blue light would give me faster results.
