Beachside Bungalow

Definitely a good price for the amount of work that I had to put in, and the quality wasn't too bad. It does come with a whole guide book on how to place and put everything together. It is a bit confusing at times but it helps to always take a double look before placing. Although I lacked only one piece I was able to improvise with some of the other materials given. Keep in mind this does not come with any glue but just a pair of flimsy tweezers. I would recommend investing in a good miniature build tool kit. I just bought one off here that came with 2 pairs of tweezers and clippers and an exacto knife. That exacto blade comes in really handy for this project, and considering some of the items are super tiny that you'll be making 2 tweezers make it easier. Overall once it was fully put together it looked so good!!! I was ecstatic to step back and see all the hard work I put into this project. It was well worth it! Happy crafting!! P. S. This craft in my opinion would work best with different types of glue. I used Elmer's glue all for a good majority of it like the paper and tiny pieces but when u get to the framing part with walls and stuff I'd use something that's very thick and tacky that dries quick. I used hot glue and it worked just fine, just gotta be quick.....

Ok - these are not for beginners. These are very detail orientated and the instructions are very small. I am still giving it a five start cause *I* didn't know what I was buying, but it's been over ayear and i'm still trying to build the dang thing. It's a slow process, but It's absolutely coming out beautifully. a great start for someone who wants to get into working with miniatures.

This is my 4th miniature- a combo of these types and the book nook ones. It was not intended for beginners like me, but I stuck with it and I love the end result! It’s beautiful and fun, with lots of tiny details. I find these weirdly relaxing even if they can be stressful at times. It’s definitely not perfect, but I think that adds to the charm

Really easy and fun to build. Very good quality

In photos this build looked adorable and I really wanted to make it. In reality I wish I never got it. The instructions are awful and I am depending on YouTube videos for guidance. Some of the pieces were very similar in shape and the instructions didn’t clearly tell you which piece to use. Some pieces just didn’t go together as they should and caused a lot of time and frustration. I’m having to make modifications to get this thing completed. I’ve dragged this build out much too long and am hoping I finish it before I decide to throw it out the window. It’s too bad because it is cute but I wouldn’t buy from this company again.

This was really fun to make! The kit requires you to make most of the pieces “from scratch” (with the included materials) which is what I look for in a miniature kit. It is a more advanced kit, definitely not for kids. Really fun and looks great when finished!

There were some missing pieces (one of them being KEY to the entire look) and missing steps in the instructions. Sometimes the instructions were great; but in crucial times (e.g. lighting), it would simply say "do as shown in pic" but the pic is so grainy and small that it was difficult to see. Also, some of the pieces didn't fit as expected; some would warp when glue was applied so it made for additional challenges. I worked around the missing pieces and left out the ones that didn't fit (like the pillars in front). I'm not going to mess with the dust cover bc I believe it'll be a nightmare with the fit and glue. Re: the light wiring, I don't mind doing this part as it's not my first kit but it's not for the faint of heart! First off, there's 6 lights; 4 white, 2 blue. They all look exactly alike so you have cut and expose the wire and test it with the battery to know which was which. I was "lucky" and got the blues in the first 3 tries. The provided tape doesn't hold AT ALL. The wires were so fragile and thin that when I cut the outer part to expose the copper, it broke...a lot. I tried my own electrical tape but because they are so thin, it also did not hold well. I ended up using some leftover rubber melts from another kit to hold them together but even that took 2-3 tries. It is worth doing this step well because the lighting makes the whole kit; otherwise, you lose the "water" effect in the basement. Note: I did reach out to the seller about the missing pieces, and they responded quickly... but it'll take about a month for them to arrive. Very frustrating, so I would not recommend this set.

Beachside Bungalow This is probably the most needlessly difficult kit I have put together. That being said, it’s finished now and looks pretty amazing. Gluing the underwater ladder, the lounge chairs, the railing and the spiral staircase was very hard and frustrating! (I’m pretty sure my kit came with a bottle of glue, but it wasn’t enough and I used Elmer’s glue some too.). The box on the back to hold the battery and all of the extra wire is way too small and you have to pull it all out to get to the switch. I need to rig up something better. The only piece that was missing was the top to the window gable. I bought a small piece of wood, cut and painted it to fit/match - not really noticeable. Most things fit together well - only had to trim a few pieces. I wish the instructions were easier to understand. I recommend looking ahead to see where things go and how they fit before permanently gluing them down. I had to pull up and reposition a few things. Cutting out the tiny paper pictures of fish and birds was ridiculously difficult. Would have been better if they were stickers! Cutting, bending and gluing the white wire into things was stupidly hard too (railing and ladder). There were also not enough rocks. I used some of my son’s small rock collection. Needed them to help hold up the underwater plants which don’t stick well to the “grass”. I’m a bit nervous that the 2 underwater rooms are completely enclosed so no way to fix anything in them if something falls off. Would have liked to not have the “brick” wall parts on the underwater plastic walls. They make it hard to see everything. Overall I love the way it looks, but it was very difficult to put together and took a very long time.

One of the best I’ve ever made. Everything is bagged up and labelled well. The instructions are relatively easy to follow with help from the pictures. I had trouble with some fiddly sections and I’m not the best at manipulating wire but it came out great. Would buy this brand again.

This wasn't the easiest build but the end result is stunning! Enough glue and materials but can't mess up once because you will have shortage. Lights are Wonderful. The manual was sometimes hard to understand but a expert or creative person can figure it out!
