**Q: Is this a fake or authentic watch? Does it use China or Japan automatic movement?**
A: This watch does have a Japanese movement. If the watch is shipped and sold by Amazon, then it is authentic.

**Q: what do you mean by it dies out overnight? does it run on battery, solar power, or does it run on another form of power?**
A: It's an automatic watch, so it runs off of movement from wearing it. It has a built-in pendulum that moves back & forth when you move & that's how it keeps wound. If you don't wear it, it will die, but all you have to do is wind it. I love automatic watches, no batteries just movement, plus this watch being skeletonized you can see the mechanics of the watch & can actually see the spring inside & see when it's almost about to die, all in a I absolutely love this watch & that's why I bought the rectangular version of this watch as well.

**Q: does it have illuminated  ?**
A: No it isn't  illuminated.

**Q: Does the second hand tick or is it a smooth motion?**
A: This style is a sweep second and will have 4 ticks per second. It will not tick every second but will not be completely smooth either.
