What are its benefits over other designs? Planar headphones feature conductive layers that cover nearly the entire diaphragm, resulting in significantly lower distortion than conventional dynamic headphones. - Acoustically Invisible Stealth Magnet Unlike the sound waves created by a conventional magnet, the special shape of Stealth Magnets enables the waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference. HIFIMAN’s advanced magnet design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The reduced distortion yields pure sonic output that is accurate and full-range. - Durable Connections The headphone’s drivers are protected by a newly designed casing for enhanced durability and protection from the elements. A dual-sided high-performance 3.5mm cable is packaged with a 6.35mm adapter for maximum compatibility with a wide range of devices. - The HE400SE’s high sensitivity makes it the perfect match for low-voltage sources, including portable hi-res. audio players. - Maximum Comfort for Hours of Listening Pleasure Thanks to its newly designed adjustable lightweight headband, the HE400se remains cool and comfortable for hours, even in excessively warm weather. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08Z2SK5C4 | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Antenna Location | Recording | | Audio Driver Type | Planar Magnetic Driver | | Best Sellers Rank | 13,785 in Musical Instruments & DJ ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments & DJ ) 91 in Studio Headphones | | Box Contents | Cable, Ear Cushions | | Brand Name | HIFIMAN | | Cable Features | Detachable | | Colour | Silver,Black | | Compatible Devices | Portable Audio Players, Laptops, Desktops, Gaming Consoles, and Audio Amplifiers | | Control Method | Remote | | Control Type | Media Control | | Controller Type | Touch | | Customer Package Type | Standard Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (973) | | Earpiece Shape | Over Ear | | Enclosure Material | Plastic | | Frequency Range | 20Hz-20kHz | | Frequency Response | 20000 Hz | | Headphone Form Factor | Over Ear | | Headphone Jack | 3.5 mm Jack | | Headphones Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Impedance | 32 Ohms | | Item Weight | 390 Grams | | Manufacturer | HIFIMAN | | Model Name | HE400SE | | Model Number | He400SE | | Network Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Noise Control | None | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Features | Lightweight | | Sensitivity | 91 dB | | Series Number | 400 | | Specific Uses For Product | Music, Casual Travel, Daily Commuting | | Style Name | Open-Back | | Subject Character | no subject character | | Theme | sport | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Wireless Technology Type | Stealth Magnets | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HIFIMAN - **Colour:** Silver,Black - **Ear placement:** Over Ear - **Form factor:** Over Ear - **Frequency response:** 20000 Hz - **Headphone jack:** 3.5 mm Jack - **Impedance:** 32 Ohms - **Model name:** HE400SE - **Noise control:** None - **Sensitivity:** 91 dB ## Images ![HIFIMAN HE400SE Stealth Magnets Version Over-Ear Open-Back Full-Size Planar Magnetic Wired Headphones for Audiophiles/Studio, Great-Sounding, Stereo, High Sensitivity, Comfortable, Sliver - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/515pVw-XGtL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Do these HE400se come packaged with a better cable now?** A: Ordered mine on Black Friday, and it did not come with the better cable. Seems like you get lucky or you don't as to if you'll get it. **Q: How are these when compared to beats?** A: Better in literally every regard. Beats are slightly better than overpriced steaming garbage, while retaining the overpriced aspect. **Q: How do they compare to Sundara?** A: Sundara sound better. He-400se it's a good entry level into planars I would say. **Q: How do these compare to the HE400i?** A: Most people (at least myself & professional reviewers) think the HE400se with the new Stealth Magnets are a decent bit better of an overall performer than the older HE400i 2020 (& ESPECIALLY vs the OG HE400i), but they're also harder to drive amp-wise to get them to their peak, & thus said superior audio quality/sonic presentation, so... 🤷‍♂️ If you already have a solid amp (anything with >≈ say an ESS Sabre ES9280C DAC + amp chip) I'd definitely get the HE400se's even if they're both the same price. OTOH if you don't already have a decent amp, then it becomes MUCH less cut & dry if similarly priced. (The HE400se is usually SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper though, making it basically ALWAYS the better choice tbh). ## Frequently Bought Together - HIFIMAN HE400SE Stealth Magnets Version Over-Ear Open-Back Full-Size Planar Magnetic Wired Headphones for Audiophiles/Studio, Great-Sounding, Stereo, High Sensitivity, Comfortable, Sliver - NEW NEOMUSICIA Replacement Cable Compatible with Hifiman HE4XX, HE-400i (The Latest Version with Both 3.5mm Plug) Headphones 3.5mm / 6.35mm to Dual 3.5mm Jack Male Cord 3meters/9.9ft - NEW NEOMUSICIA Replacement Cable Compatible with Hifiman HE4XX, HE-400i (The Latest Version with Both 3.5mm Plug) Headphones 3.5mm / 6.35mm to Dual 3.5mm Jack Male Cord 1.2m/4ft --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/341155981-hifiman-he400se-stealth-magnets-version-over-ear-open-back-full](https://www.desertcart.no/products/341155981-hifiman-he400se-stealth-magnets-version-over-ear-open-back-full) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
