As for the tool itself, WOW, it makes opening jump rings incredibly fast. I can open about 25-30 in a minute vs about 10-15 using two sets of pliers. Someone that has been doing this for awhile could probably go a lot faster than someone like me that has just been doing it a couple of months. Newbies would definitely benefit using this tool. I open about 40-50 rings to start then I leave the ring on my finger as I work and can quickly open or widen an open ring in seconds without ever picking up another tool. It's nicer and shiner than I expected, and I actually have been wearing it as jewelry/conversation piece. I have very small hands, so I think it should be noted that there appears to be only one size, and it's small. I haven't had a chance to work with it yet, since my wire seems to be taking much longer to come from a different seller, but I will update my review if I have any problems, but I think it will serve it's purpose well.
