Compatible with IEC inlet audio equipment up to 600VA, it instantly enhances sound clarity and dynamics by delivering cleaner, more efficient power to your Hi-Fi setup. ## Description The DC Block has been designed to improve the quality of AC electricity that feeds our audio and AV systems. Mains electricity has a fundamental influence on the audio signal as it passes through a system, from source to amp to speakers. The mains supply in a typical dwelling is subject to interference induced by a range of issues, causing the AC waveform to distort before it reaches each component. This creates noise in the audio signal, which degrades sound quality – a situation that continues to worsen as the electrical devices we use in our homes proliferate. ## Features - The typical mains supply is subject to various kinds of interference and non-linear loads, which distorts the AC waveform. Asymmetrical loads will cause the waveform to be offset and result in what is known as 'DC on the mains'. The amount of DC is only small, typically less than 500mV, but it only takes a small amount of DC to saturate a modern high flux toroidal transformer. Saturation of the transformer will invariably result in reduced efficiency and mechanical vibration. - This typically manifests in 'noisy operation' and acoustically compromised performance. Removing the DC from your mains supply will not only restore efficiency and reduce mechanical hum of noisy transformers, it will also improve the performance of the connected audio equipment, resulting in greater clarity and dynamics. The audiolab DC BLOCK utilizes a simple connection and intelligent design that will help remove DC from your mains power supply, instantly. - As well as DC removal, the audiolab DC BLOCK provides additional mains conditioning and RF filtering, of both common and differential mode noise, which further contributes to the optimal operation of your audio equipment. The audiolab DC BLOCK mains conditioner is compatible with most audio equipment that utilizes an IEC mains inlet and will offer a no-nonsense, instant improvement to the mains power supply, and ultimately, the performance of your Hi-Fi system. - KEY FEATURES: Removes DC from AC mains supply. Reduces transformer hum. Reduces RF interference. Improves the performance of audio components. - Power Requirement: 100-240V ~ 50-60Hz. Peak Load: 600VA. Audio Power Amplifier compatibility: <2x150W or <1x300W. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B097WMR2T1 | | Best Sellers Rank | #122,674 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #731 in Audio Component Amplifiers | | Brand | Audiolab | | Color | Black | | Connector Type Used on Cable | Barrel Connector | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars (51) | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | Form Factor | Compact box-like design | | Input Voltage | 120 volts | | Manufacturer | Audiolab | | Maximum Power | 600 watts | | Mfr Part Number | DCBLOCKBK | | Model Number | DCBLOCKBK | | Output Voltage | 120 volts | | Output Wattage | 600 watts | | Specification Met | Audio system noise reduction standards | | UPC | 840117508255 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Audiolab - **Color:** Black - **Connector Type:** Barrel Connector - **Input Voltage:** 120 volts - **Material:** Metal ## Images ![DC Block Audio Grade Mains Filter & Direct Current Blocker (Black) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/619XA2e31+L.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Audiolab DC Block Audio Grade Mains Filter & Direct Current Blocker (Black) - zdyCGTime 3 Prong USA C14 to NEMA 5-15R Plug Power Adapter for Standard Computer Power Adapter 15A/125V (IG-320) (NEMA 5-15R to IEC 60320-C14)(2 Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/333992530-dc-block-audio-grade-mains-filter-and-direct-current-blocker](https://www.desertcart.no/products/333992530-dc-block-audio-grade-mains-filter-and-direct-current-blocker) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
