**Q: Do these HE400se come packaged with a better cable now?**
A: Ordered mine on Black Friday, and it did not come with the better cable. Seems like you get lucky or you don't as to if you'll get it.

**Q: How are these when compared to beats?**
A: Better in literally every regard. Beats are slightly better than overpriced steaming garbage, while retaining the overpriced aspect.

**Q: How do they compare to Sundara?**
A: Sundara sound better. He-400se it's a good entry level into planars I would say.

**Q: How do these compare to the HE400i?**
A: Most people (at least myself & professional reviewers) think the HE400se with the new Stealth Magnets are a decent bit better of an overall performer than the older HE400i 2020 (& ESPECIALLY vs the OG HE400i), but they're also harder to drive amp-wise to get them to their peak, & thus said superior audio quality/sonic presentation, so... 🤷‍♂️

If you already have a solid amp (anything with >≈ say an ESS Sabre ES9280C DAC + amp chip) I'd definitely get the HE400se's even if they're both the same price. OTOH if you don't already have a decent amp, then it becomes MUCH less cut & dry if similarly priced. (The HE400se is usually SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper though, making it basically ALWAYS the better choice tbh).
