Thanks!** A: Yes, this headset can be used with a laptop that has a 3.5 mm CTIA headset jack. If your laptop has separate jacks for audio and microphone purposes, an additional PC splitter cable would be required. **Q: The headset cord falls out of the Xbox S controller, like it's too small. Has anyone had this issue!** A: The headset's male plug should fit securely within an Xbox controller's headset jack or any other headset jack on a similar device. If you find the headset's plug is not fitting securely, please take the time to reach out directly to the Turtle Beach Support Team via their Contact Form on the main Turtle Beach website so they can assist you with a damage claim. **Q: Are the ear cups big enough to totally go around your ears rather than pressing on them? I don't like headphones that mash my ears.** A: These are designed to go over the ears. **Q: Can you hear your own voice with this headset?** A: The headset itself is not equipped with Microphone Monitoring. However, when used on an Xbox console, the Xbox controller's will provide the headset with Mic Monitoring. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clear sound without distortion *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 19 July 2023* Really comfortable even with my eye glasses on no worries. Nice and comfy not a strong base but does a really good job without any distortion a really clean and high quality sound. I recommend if you're thight on the budget since it does the job flawlessly. I you need something that drops some bass this is not fot you. Look for something higher in the range.Build quality outstanding really good Turtle beach did a good job for a very nice and high quality product.Overall I rate it 8 out 10 since the cable is little bit short not bad by the way and bass is not strong enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good sound *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 27 February 2022* Good sound but its not completely comfortable, and sometimes on my ps5 my friends hear echo from the mic ### ⭐⭐⭐ The comfort *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 8 January 2023* The clamping force is tight but you can stretch it out ## Frequently Bought Together - Turtle Beach Recon 500 Wired Multiplatform Gaming Headset - PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch - Turtle Beach Recon Controller Black - Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/330484180-turtle-beach-recon-500-wired-multiplatform-gaming-headset-ps5-ps4](https://www.desertcart.no/products/330484180-turtle-beach-recon-500-wired-multiplatform-gaming-headset-ps5-ps4) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
