He needed 2 things from a grill set: 1. a mat on which to put the utensils while not in use and 2. utensils that were more sturdy than the typical aluminum ones available that bend easily. He loves this set. The utensils are made of stainless steel and good size for function and safety. The mat is large enough to hold the utensils but not so large that it won't fit on the panel alongside most grills. I also find them easy to clean. This is a good quality set for the money.
