A water-soluble pencil that will mark clearly, densely and legibly on any surface including acetate, paper, glass, metal, photo and film. Wipes off with a damp cloth on smooth surfaces and erases on paper. Review: Great for picture labeling - The lead is soft so you don't have to bear down hard and it doesn't smear onto a picture behind it if you store your pictures stacked. Perfect for my needs. Review: Most important true black very saturated pencil I have found - I use this for mark making on CWM & encaustic. Exceptional black, very dark without blue or green. A true black I use everyday. I kept buying these one at a time at the art store but finally figured out I could’ve ordered a box on desertcart for a better price. Now that I have a box I see that I no longer ration it’s use & just really love this pencil. ## Features - 8046 - 4006381327565 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01G7IKGU2 | | Additional Features | Water Soluble | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #283,971 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #1,486 in Woodcase Lead Pencils | | Body Shape | Round | | Brand | STABILO | | Brand Name | STABILO | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 402 Reviews | | Drill Point | Chisel | | Grip Type | smooth | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Hardness | HB | | Included Components | Pencils | | Ink Base | Water | | Ink Color | Black | | Item Dimensions | 1.8 x 0.6 x 6.9 inches | | Item Weight | 0.05 kg | | Line Size | 2mm_and_above | | Manufacturer | Stabilo | | Material | Glass, Metal | | Material Type | Glass, Metal | | Model Name | Stabilo ALL Water Soluble Pencil | | Pattern | Solid | | Style | Chisel | | Unit Count | 12 Count | | Writing Instrument Form | Colored Pencil | | Writing Technique | pencil lead | ## Product Details - **Brand:** STABILO - **Writing Instrument Form:** Colored Pencil - **Color:** Black - **Ink Color:** Black - **Age Range (Description):** Adult ## Images ![All Pencil 8046 Black 12 Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51GPV1pdM8L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are they safe to use on photos?** A: I’ve written on the backs of some of my pictures and seen no ill effects. The packaging doesn’t say photo safe though. I mostly got them for art projects because they write on almost anything. I love these pencils. If the writing got wet at all it would smear as these are water soluble. **Q: Can I buy just one pencil, to try this?** A: I don't know, but it's cheaper by the box, that what I bought. **Q: Is this the "marks all" stabillo pencil in black? I was told to get that version of it for a class. Thank you** A: yes, some people call it the stability all pencil and some refer to it by number. It is a black pencil that will write on most surfaces and can be activated by water to make a wider grey line, great for creating shadowing around your images. **Q: I bought these and they do not erase cleanly. Nor did the lead completely dissolve. It mixed with the water color and turned the color darker.** A: Quoting from a description of this pencil from dickblick.com: "Stabilo's soft, waxy leads mark on virtually any surface. This is not an artist colored pencil, for drawing and sketching, but rather a colored marking pencil". I interpret this to mean that it is not easily removed. However, I find it is really great to sketch with and then go over areas with a water brush for a very interesting effect. Hope that helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for picture labeling *by A***T on August 17, 2020* The lead is soft so you don't have to bear down hard and it doesn't smear onto a picture behind it if you store your pictures stacked.
