Use the setting in the back of the cutter to unlock it and to set the blade to any depth you prefer.

Can I buy a. Replacement holder and lanyard?

Unfortunately not but we'll consider it in the future to see if it's a viable option to just sell the holder with lanyard.

Is this specific for left handed use?

It is designed to be either left or right hand use. The ergonomic design made it pretty easy to use with either hand. The holster/clip can rotate and can go on either side of the holder. The edge guide is also designed for the left and right handed user to make quick, accurate cuts.
