Review: The White Stag - I ordered this book for my child's book report. I was worried that it would take too long to get to my house and that there would not be enough time to read the book and write the report. I couldn't believe how quickly the book arrived--just a couple of days. I was very impressed with the speed of delivery and the book was in excellent shape. Although it was a used book the book seller described it perfectly and it did not look like it had ever been touched. It looked perfectly new. If this book seller (JJ's Book Nook) can continue to operate like this I would give them a 100% satisfaction score. The book itself was a historical novel. It was less than 100 pages, but a lot of information was placed in this book. It can be read on several levels from child to adult. On the adult level, the author tells about some very specific historical events and puts them in a proper context that was very interesting. A child would not know about any of these events and some knowledge of history is necessary to fully understand the merits of the book. It basically told about the founding of the country of Hungry and some of the myths associated with a few historical facts. The combination made for a good read for both child and adult. It brought back wonderful memories of a wonderful time spent with my Mom at my bedtime.
