Review: Does what it says on the box - These cold packs are average and a fantastic price. Don't expect the world out of them for long term cooling but for basic first aid and EMS work they are fantastic. They fit into our EMS bags well and are small and portable. Each pack works well and gives about 10-17 minutes of cooling which is fine for most basic first aid applications. If you need a longer duration cooling time use the next size up or a larger ice pack.

These cold packs are average and a fantastic price. Don't expect the world out of them for long term cooling but for basic first aid and EMS work they are fantastic. They fit into our EMS bags well and are small and portable. Each pack works well and gives about 10-17 minutes of cooling which is fine for most basic first aid applications. If you need a longer duration cooling time use the next size up or a larger ice pack.

Ice packs are a little difficult to pop, but as someone wrote that is a good thing so they dont burst in shipping. They last a little more than 10 minutes. I wrapped it in a towel at first but could barely feel the coolness. After a few minutes I unwrapped it and put it directly on my skin (no danger of frostbite). It is not that cold like a reusable ice pack. It does the job. I used them 3 times a day for 2 days for a month old injury and the pain was gone, surprisingly.
