## Features

- HELPS STABILIZE THE ANKLE: After serious twisting injuries or torn ligaments, Bauerfeind’s MalleoLoc ankle brace stabilizes the ankle and protects it from lateral twisting. The MalleoLoc support is self-shaping, so it fits snugly on the ankle and passes along the side of the joint and then underneath the sole, leaving the heel free.
- COMFORTABLE IN DAY-TO-DAY LIFE: Unique design leaves heel and front of the foot free for natural stabilization and allows for full plantar and dorsiflexion. The brace is comfortable and can be worn with sturdy shoes. Due to its stabilizing support, it even provides support without shoes. The Velcro strap makes the brace easy to put on and take off.
- ENSURE CORRECT FIT AND SIZING: Using your heel as your starting point, measure the width of your heel. Refer to sizing chart & video for correct sizing.
- SUPPORT ANKLE STABILITY FOR BETTER HEALING: The unique strapping system and integrated splint keep the ankle stable – an important component of injury treatment that helps the healing process. Figure-8 Velcro strapping stays secure even with vigorous activity and makes MalleoLoc a cost effective alternative to ankle taping or wrapping.
- USED TO HELP TREAT & HELP PREVENT: severe ankle sprains, recent ankle injuries, rehabilitation of chronic/severe instabilities of the ankle, lateral ankle ligament tear (severe), ankle instabilities, and more ankle pain related symptoms.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this prevent ankle from rolling sideways? My ankle rolls out, and other braces (ASO) rub my ankle bone raw.**
A: Hello, the MalleoLoc will prevent your ankle from rolling. It will lock the ankle in place to prevent any lateral movement. It will still allow normal flexion of the joint.

**Q: I just purchased the brace and find it comfortable I am wondering if any ladies have a certain athletic shoe that it works well in?**
A: I am MALE, but I'd advise you give allowance for the brace by purchasing WIDE size shoes. Any wide gym shoes would do.

**Q: Would this be good for obstacle racing**
A: I don't know what obstacle racing is exactly, but I used it for soccer. About a month after a bad sprain, I could (carefully) trail run because it's a straight forward motion, but the side to side movement of a soccer game was still out of the question. So I bought this is stabilize my ankle -- it won't go anywhere in this thing! -- and it got me back on the soccer field about two to three month earlier than if I hadn't had it. I felt secure and safe from re-injury when wearing it, but it didn't inhibit my play. Don't put it through the washer/dryer, though, no matter how stinky it gets! The inside part will shrink up, rendering the brace unusable. The brace also has an annoying plastic protrusion that sits along the bottom of the foot that I didn't care for, but dealt with.

**Q: what is the difference between size 1 or 2?**
A: Box instructions....heel width...1= less than 2 1/4 inches; 2= greater than 2 1/4 inches
