It comes with a white protector on one side and clear on the other. Bideford** A: Hi...I'm not sure to be honest I thought the plastic had uv protection within it. I took the film off as thought it was just packaging. Also did not want a white look. Think it would be hard to curve the plastic into the side arms if it's still on? Sorry if not answered your question **Q: I want to install it on a wooden shed. the wood is too thick so i cannot use nuts on the bolt. what size hex screws for wood shall i buy please?** A: Hi Abu, I believe the fixings that comes with the canopy are roughly 8mm in diameter as I used a 10mm drill for holes. As long as you use long enough screws to ensure canopy stay put in windy weather it should work on wood. Use washers if you cannot find 8mm screws. I hope it helps. **Q: Is there an option to have the poly come tinted rather than clear?** A: There's no option for tinted. But you could do your own tinting like a car window but remember it has to be formed into the side brackets **Q: What is the hole distance on each bracket?** A: There is no dimensions in the package. I assembled the unit and made a hole centre template using the cardboard package it came in. Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to fit, cut to size, solid and a great price *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 February 2026* Having bought this without the forethought of “will this actually fit between my annoyingly placed drainpipes?”, I discovered pretty quickly that, no, no it won’t. Having said that, looking at it was nothing a tape measure a scalpel and a hacksaw couldn’t fix. It took roughly 20 minutes of cutting and assembly to get the finished item (more like 5 minutes without the cutting to size), and putting it up was a simple affair as it weighs next to nothing (I did require another pair of hands to mark the holes for drilling, but this took seconds). Not a fan of the supplied bolts so I opted for some hefty wall plugs and screws I have laying around. Stability wise it feels solid as a rock, I will update its wind resistance should anything unfortunate happen but am confident it will withstand some serious punishment. I like the way it looks, nothing too flashy but wouldn’t look out of place over most doors. Happy with this spur of the moment (due to the horrific downpours we’ve had recently) purchase.
