It had still worked but was already lacking and wasn’t working well anyway so that helped give more a reason to get a replacement. Swapped the batteries from the old to new and the response was immediate! Literally swapped the batteries, hit the power button and the tv turned on without hesitation. No programming at all, no process to connect it whatsoever. No directions, which at first made me a little concerned but now I see why I didn’t need directions. If you have a Vizio tv and need a direct replacement, I’d recommend this one for sure. Buttons feel good and are very responsive, and it works just as the old one would with all the same buttons and functions. ## Features - Compatibility Models : XRT136 TV Remote Compatible with all VIZIO smartcast V Series M Series D Series P Series PX Series E Series Smart TVs.Compatible with XRT140 / XRT260 / XRT136 / XRT270 / XRT112 / XRT122 / XRT302 / XRT135 / XRT510 / XRT500 / XRT100 / VR1 / VR2 / VR10 / VR15 and More VIZIO Smart TV Remote Control model - Free of Setup Requirements : Work right out of the box and without program. This is a newer model compared to mine. Looks and features I bet. I suggest doing more research then pursue it before buying. No pairing required. Put batteries in and it started working. The only thing I don’t like about it is the pre set buttons, I wish I could pick which app each one has but that’s just me being picky. Recommend this remote! ## Frequently Bought Together - Universal for VIZIO Smart TV Remote Control Replacement XRT136 - Amazon Basics AAA Alkaline Batteries, High-Performance (Triple A), 10-Year Shelf Life, 12 count - (Pack of 2) Replacement-Remote-Control for Roku-TV,Compatible for TCL Roku/Hisense Roku/Onn Roku/Philips Roku Smart TVs(Not for Roku Stick and Box) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/317871158-universal-for-vizio-smart-tv-remote-control-replacement-xrt136](https://www.desertcart.no/products/317871158-universal-for-vizio-smart-tv-remote-control-replacement-xrt136) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
