When I first got it, I had to practice opening and closing it quite a bit to get comfortable handling it (like I said, I'm a knife-novice). It springs open VERY quickly and is also VERY sharp (especially the tip so be careful if you are new to handling knives). I love that I can open it with one hand and quickly if need be. I mess with it all the time (and I mean that in the safest way possible) and the locking mechanism that you need to push down prior to opening the knife has not loosened or become less secure at all. Nor has the opening mechanism, and the knife still springs open just as fast as it did when I got it. It's also very sturdy, and has a bit of weight to it which makes it feel very solid. **Q: How long is the blade itself?**
A: If you would read the published specs., you'd see that the blade length is 3 3/8", total open length is 7 3/4", folded length 4 3/8".
The finish on the knife is slippery so I applied several pieces of gun tape to it. I'm very happy with the knife.!

**Q: I got the knife and it won't close. I watched the video but it didn't help. Any ideas?**
A: All of these knives seem to come from the factory overly tightened. I've got 14 knives in my collection and on all of them I've had to back out the pivot screw, put a few drops of Tetra gun oil or EWL 2000 on the pivot post and then tighten the pivot screw back in a little at a time. While doing this, I'd check the operation of the blade to make sure it's easy to open and close, but doesn't wobble from side to side. The more I opened and closed it, the easier it got.

A: You are not allowed to own any gravity or spring assisted knife in New York and the overall blade length can’t exceede three inches

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Although it has its issues, it's a Great value.

I don't use "great" often, but I really like the blade. I believe it is truly 440C. The issues are all minor but add up to a one-star deduction for me. 1) The handle is slippery. If you're hands are sweaty or greasy, this thing will be tough to get a hold of. 2) The knife does loosen after a while. This happens with all folders, especially if you like to flip it open instead of carefully unfolding it. The handle will loosen as well, while this can be tighted back down... ...the screws to tighten it are Torx screws, so you might be out of luck if you don't have a set of Torx keys. Or you will use regular Hex key and risk stripping the screw. 3) The safety. Easily the worst part of the knife and the only plastic part. After a quick while it will loosen so much that it basically becomes useless as it will just slide freely and not lock in either position. When it's in the "safe" position, it will just slide out of the way if you try to open the knife, so basically it's as if the safety doesn't exist. When it's in the "unsafe" position, it can actually easily slide back into "safe" and keep you from closing your knife quickly. Poked myself a couple of times because it got stuck as I was trying to close the knife and put it back in my pocket in one movement.
