Review: Everyone needs one!! - This little guy is worth every penny! I have issues with ponding after heavy rainfalls. I have the Little Giant, and that needs a minimum of 5 inches of water to activate. This guy could clean a spilled drink off the kitchen table let alone the water I get behind my pool deck that won’t drain. This will even suck out the water that’s collecting on top of the grass from the ground being overly saturated. Highly recommended if you have water issues outdoors. Probably works great for flooding indoors too since it works in any water level.

**Q: If left plugged in amd sitting on the basement floor will it automatically start pumping when it senses water over 1/16" deep?**
A: Yes. IF you get the automatic one. There are 2 choices. I have both. The non-auto one gets rid of water down to 1/16 of an inch. The auto one only kicks in when there is at least a half inch of water to activate the float and also kicks out once it has pumped it down to 1/4 inch. I use them both in my basement.

**Q: Is this pump fairly quiet?**
A: Very as it stopped working the first time I used it. On way back.

**Q: how much water does it need to start ?**
A: We used it to clean up puddles of 1/4 inch.. doesn't take much for the pump to start it's suctioning..

**Q: Is this pump sensitive to temperature and if so what is the safe temp range of water to flow through it?**
A: I used it to pump out water in my in ground swimming pool this winter. The water temp was just above freezing and the pump worked great.

Our basement and crawlspace started to flood due to a very quick snow melt recently. I tried three different submersible pumps that barely worked on low water on floors. Then I decided to give this one a try and it’s absolutely amazing. Not only did it suck up water faster than any other pump that I have tried, it also works really well in low water situations. I highly recommend this pump for anybody who is dealing with any sort of flooding.
