Platinum ActionPacs Detergent

As a resident of a rural area with water that tends to challenge the cleanliness of dishes, finding an effective dishwasher detergent has been an ongoing quest for me. After trying several brands, I've found that Cascade Dishwasher Pods have proven to be a reliable solution for keeping my dishes sparkling clean, even with our hard water and infrequent dishwasher use. Let's start with the positives. One of the first things I noticed about Cascade pods is their delightful fresh scent. It's not overpowering, and leaves a pleasant aroma as the dishes are washing. Plus, the convenience factor cannot be overstated. Just pop one pod into the dishwasher, and you're good to go. No measuring, pouring, or mess involved. This simplicity makes them a breeze to use, especially on those busy days when time is of the essence. I also appreciate the thoughtful packaging. The sturdy bucket not only keeps the pods organized but also makes it easy to grab one without fumbling around with flimsy boxes. It's a small touch, but it adds to the overall user experience. Now, onto the downside. While Cascade pods generally deliver excellent cleaning results, I've found that using just one isn't always sufficient for heavily soiled dishes, particularly if they've been sitting for a while between washes. In my case, I've had to resort to using two pods—one in the bottom of the dishwasher and one in the door—to ensure that everything comes out spotless. While this might be seen as a minor inconvenience, it does mean going through pods a bit faster than anticipated. Despite this drawback, the effectiveness of Cascade Dishwasher Pods outweighs the need for an extra pod in my book. The peace of mind knowing that my dishes will consistently emerge clean and sparkling makes it a worthwhile investment, especially considering the challenges posed by our rural water and sporadic dishwasher usage. In conclusion, if you're looking for a dishwasher detergent that combines convenience, a pleasant scent, and reliable cleaning power, Cascade Dishwasher Pods are an excellent choice. Just be prepared to use an extra pod for those tougher cleaning jobs.

I have these on an auto order billed to my Amazon Credit Card where I can collect 5% cash back on items I’m going to purchase anyway. These pods are fantastic and work really well with my Samsung “StormWash” Dishwasher. Their weight is noticeable because it’s such a large container and you get so many ….. so when it’s delivered I always know what’s in the box before opening it. But that’s just less weight to bring in the house from the car. The amount you get for a price point that’s the same or better than grocery store and it comes to me makes these a must for busy moms or busy professionals. They always come one time, never been delayed and I be never had this order cancelled for lack of stock. They’ve never arrived stuck together or broken either. The flip top lid is very convenient and easy to get in to when stored under the kitchen sink. Seals tightly as well. We had a small leak under the sink and no moisture got in to the container to ruin the pods. As far as performance …..it really is as good as the commercials say. Nothing gets left behind on the dishes ever. I’m so used to giving a quick scrub to get off the dried stuff that I have to consciously tell myself NO NEED. Weather I waste time scrubbing or just put the dishes in as is they are spotless every single time! We never ever have residuals left on the dishes and no film ever left on the glasses. We don’t do colored glass so I can with certainty say it rinses away completely leaving you with crystal clear glasses. Our dishwasher does not use heated dry it just pops open to let the steam out. The water it uses is so hot it evaporates almost completely within 10-15 mins minus the dishes that have nooks and crevasses where water can pool. That said these pods don’t extend that dry time and don’t leave water spots except for where the water pooled. I don’t believe that is as a result of the product itself. This is also the best price I’ve found for the number of pods you get. Our dishwasher runs daily. My husband and I work a professional job and put in quite a lot of hours but choose to mostly eat at home for health reasons. Being able to use the dishwasher 1-2 times a day is necessary to make time to be able to eat healthier at home. This has been on auto order for years and will continue to be for as long as Amazon continues to deliver and this seller continues to provide really competitive prices. Highly recommend and get auto order to get the additional discounts. Just because we have professional jobs doesn’t mean we don’t channel our inner cheapskate for those necessary, recurring items!

These pods work so good on your dishes. I use one pod and fill my dishwasher up and the pods clean my dishes great. There is no residue or streaking or hard water stains on anything. My dishes are clean and the pods have lasted me a long time. The package had no leakage and the size is perfect for under my sink. I think they are well worth the money you spend on them. I will be buying this brand from now on.

This is the only version of Cascade detergent I use (there is no citrus in it, since citrus is bad to use on stainless - see below). I am VERY grateful that Amazon sells it in bulk sizes. Probably 95% of the time when we do the dishes everything comes out of the dishwasher gleaming, spotless and perfect, though when I load it I ALWAYS: a) scrape the clumps of food off the dishes; b) remove food clumps stuck on our silverware; c) keep eating utensils from fully touching each other in the silverware baskets (so “no spooning,” literally); d) put the handles of our flatware facing down in the basket and forks, spoons and table knives facing up/sticking out of the basket (provided nothing pointing up is sharp and could hurt someone); and e) try to pay attention to the placement of large objects in the dishwasher so that the dishwasher’s water sprayers aren’t blocked from reaching all the dishes. Essentially, as I load each item I take a couple extra seconds to do a few little, simple things to maximize the performance of both the Cascade pod and the dishwasher. And the good news is that just about every load comes out perfectly. A few Notes: a) I do not like getting my hands wet so I never “prewash” anything or “prerinse” plate’s, etc. (If something’s been burned on to a pan, I soak it for a few hours to loosen it up before putting it in dishwasher.) b) The ONLY thing I do is scrape off the obvious pieces and particles of food, then load my DW as outlined above. C) We do not have hard water and I do not add any extra rinse agent to the dishwasher. d) When I start the dishwasher I push the button that preheats the water, and I always choose the “tough” or “heavy load” wash cycle (whatever that means). e) My current dishwasher, a Kitchenaid, is only two years old, but for the 18 years prior to getting a new dishwasher we had another Kitchenaid and also used Cascade. We had great luck getting clean dishes in our old dishwasher when we used the liquid/bottle version of the highest “performing” Cascade. f) Between the “enzymes” in the Cascade Platinum and the better designed water sprayers in the new dishwasher, the inside of our dishwasher is left cleaner and NEVER smells anymore. g) Based on web research I did for a family member whose home has a septic system, I do not think I would risk using dishwasher or laundry detergent pods with a septic system. Because IF the pods don’t fully dissolve, it could be catastrophic (google it.) As for the 5% of the time everything doesn’t come out perfect? This is because someone loaded the dishwasher incorrectly and its water-sprayers are partially blocked by a pan or large dish, or a lot of food bits and bites were left on the dishes and silverware, or the water temp booster was turned off, or any combo of all three. Final comment: I am confused as to why Cascade makes versions of this detergent with “fresh” lemon or citrus “scents,” since virtually EVERY manufacturer of quality stainless flatware, pots and pans, etc., specifically says to NEVER use any dish detergents that contain citrus because it may cause the metal to pit, etc. I love the smell of lemons, but I avoid any Cascade or dishwashing products with the words citrus, lemon or orange on it. May not matter, but when Cascade markets the lemony versions of their dishwasher detergent, they specifically say the “citrus oil” in the detergent helps cut through the grease, etc. So why risk it?

Cascade Platinum Dishwasher Tablets are a product I may not typically consider writing a review for, but their consistent performance and quality have prompted me to share my experience. The attractive packaging caught my eye initially, and since then, I've continued to use these dishwasher tablets for their excellent results (200+ times in about a year). Many companies claim to be the best, but what truly matters to me is how clean my dishes are and the price I pay for the product. I have never had a negative experience using Cascade Platinum Dishwasher Tablets, unlike cheaper alternatives that have left soap residue on my dishes and silverware or left the dishes uncleaned ever after washing them. With Cascade Platinum, my dishes always come out spotless. I tend to purchase the larger container, not only for the tablets themselves but also for the reusable packaging. The durable containers are perfect for storing various items and leave a pleasant, subtle scent on the contents. I also appreciate that Cascade is transparent about the chemistry and intended purpose of their product. The well-engineered tablets ensure that I don't have to worry about the mechanics behind their effectiveness – they simply work and they do their job exceptionally well. While the price of these dishwasher tablets is on the higher side, I believe that the consistent quality and cleanliness they provide make them a worthwhile investment. Opting for cheaper alternatives could result in unsanitary kitchen conditions and potential health issues. Although the price prevents me from giving a perfect 5-star review, I am pleased that Cascade Platinum Dishwasher Tablets save me the trouble of dealing with dirty dishes. I recommend Cascade Platinum Dishwasher Tablets for their consistent quality and reliability. They deliver excellent results time after time, making them a valuable addition to my household. Their combination of quality, reliability, and reusable packaging make them a standout choice in the world of dishwashing products.

Not sure what to say here. Standard dish pods. They work well. Not sure if the technique is to put it in the holster of the dishwasher or just toss it in, seems to be a mixed opinion on that topic. I've been using the holster.

I like using Cascade in my dishwasher as it gets the dishes so clean and sparkly. The price was right, it arrived on time, good packaging, and I would reommend this seller.

I have been using Cascade in general for over 15 years now. It has been my go-to brand of dishwasher detergent because it works! I've used powders & gels. The powders were a bit of a pain to use. The box was heavy & uncomfortable to pour into my very small & narrow main detergent cup. My main frustration was that powders & gels often left white residue inside the cup after the cycle completed. Finally I decided to try Cascade Platinum pods as recommended by GE. I was a little skeptical at first as I feared the pods wouldn't dissolve & leave me with a sticky mess. I decided to try them anyway & hope for the best. I'm so glad I did. One pod does the job regardless of how full the load is & everything is squeaky clean & spotless including my glassware & plastic! Oh & as a bonus it leaves the dishwasher sparkling clean & smelling great! Cascade Platinum works best!! No guesswork, measuring, lifting heavy boxes; just pop one in the main detergent dispenser compartment & start the dishwasher. I'm glad I switched to Cascade Platinum pods. Squeaky clean dishes every time!! I love it! Yes the Platinum pods are a bit more expensive than other brands but it's totally worth it because it actually works; the FIRST TIME!! I highly recommend it! Cascade Platinum is the only dishwasher detergent pods I use now & LOVE IT!! Thank you Cascade for making a dishwasher pod that actually works perfectly!! Just an FYI: make sure your hands & detergent cup are completely dry when using these otherwise they won't work properly if they get wet because they dissolve quickly when wet. Store them in a cool dry place. I store mine in my corner pantry carousel cabinet with the rest of my cleaning supplies. When loading the dishwasher just put the pod in dispenser first & close the dispenser door before your hands get wet then load the dishwasher as normal, run the hot water from your kitchen sink & start it. Cascade PLATINUM also works great on half rack option (smaller load & shorter wash time) which I use quite often. It's a win win!!😁👍👍

We always get a clean wash with these. The have a pleasant fragrance and they leave no streaks. We will buy again.
