Any complaints from training partners?** A: Matthew - Generally headgear is not used for BJJ....however as this product is often used for wrestling, we can not foresee any complaints from a training partner. I hope this has been of some help to you. If you have any further questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out! **Q: What is the smallest head circumference this is recommended for? My son is right at 21 inches so trying to decided on youth size or this one.** A: My son has a normal to large head. I measured it today at 23 3/4". Given the amount of velcro on the straps, 21" would fit. It's just a matter of adjusting all the straps to get the best fit. I looked everywhere and couldn't find a sizing guide for their headgear, but here's the one for every other thing they make http://www.cliffkeen.com/Catalog/Global.aspx?PageID=SizingInformation I'd call them direct for more info 1-800-992-0799. I called, but the office was closed. Good luck! **Q: Do these have plastic on the outside of them or they all foam? Our team requires no plastic but looking for the best fit. Thanks** A: What covers the ears are foam.... The only "plastic" is the clear cups on the sides. My boys love theirs! Easy to fit, stays secure and the can still hear their coaches. **Q: Is this machine washable?** A: Good morning, It is recommended to use Clorox wipes to clean your headgear. The straps could probably go in the washing machine, but it is not necessary. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent buy! *by on Reviewed in the United States 7 January 2014* Not the cheapest headgear out there but the best we've found so far. I have two high school boys and both love this headgear. They often end up sharing with other team members and the headgear adjusts quickly and easily. The headgear has multiple points of adjustment so you can ensure a perfect, secure fit on anyone. The only downside to this product is that the coated cushioning begins to crack on the edges after a season. It has not affected the performance of the product yet, but like most sporting gear, will most likely need to be replaced every few seasons. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it *by on Reviewed in the United States 28 March 2024* Great design and comfort! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buenísimo producto *by on Reviewed in Spain 17 August 2024* Buenísimas orejeras muy resistentes, perfectas para la lucha, recomendado 100%. ## Frequently Bought Together - Cliff Keen Cliff Keen F5 Tornado Headgear - Cliff Keen Chin Cup (CSM) - Cliff Keen Youth Tornado Headgear YF5 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/307146519-cliff-keen-tornado-free-combat-helmet](https://www.desertcart.no/products/307146519-cliff-keen-tornado-free-combat-helmet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
