My control box has a power cord attached. Is this optional for use other than batteries or does it have to been plugged into an outlet?

it is dual function, plug-in or batteries, depends on yourself.

Is there a way to adjust cold/hot water to your preferred temp ?

Yes, the mixer allows adjustment. But since the mixer is next to the solenoid under the sink, it's not convenient to change the temp each time you use it.

After installation by a licensed plumber, the unit continually drips, water pressure is within acceptable range. Is the unit defective?

I did not use a plumber. My device does not drip.

How does this faucet compare to dalmo's touchless bathroom faucet? i am hesitating which one to choose, their price is same, which one is better

I am satisfied with my faucet. It has worked perfectly since I installed it. I cannot compare it to any other brand. I have not owned any other.
