Great for Lug Nut Cross Thread Repair
Great tool! I was putting my winter tires on and one of the lug bolts was cross threaded what a nightmare, I called around and it would be about $200 to fix so I decided to do some research on how to replace and found that I didn't want to mess around with moving brake parts just to get this out even though a new lug bolt is about $5. So went ahead and go this thread chaser and problem solved!

absolutely a must have item....was able to clean up the wheel studs on my RV after slight cross threading..Coincidentally, they also work on some mower spindle threading...so a useful tool to have. Allows you to get behind the defective thread and chase it forward!@!

Saved my butt!
I mistakenly cross threaded one of the wheel studs on my SUV. The model of vehicle I had made it very difficult to simply replace them. Bought this after seeing someone suggest it on YouTube. Worked like a charm and saved me from an otherwise expensive repair!

How to repair the ends of damaged threads...start in the middle. Brilliant tool.
This was a crankshaft saver...I had stripped/ganked the threads at the end of my crankshaft and had no way to reliably thread a thread cutter without ensuring I didn't miscut the threads and completely wreck the shaft. This allowed me to start the cutter in the middle of the threads where they were undamaged and then back this out to recut the threads on the end...brilliant. Highly reccomended for this kind of situation. I will be looking for more sizes just to have them in my tool kit.
