Ice is powerful, and unless you are on a small pond you will have problems. If you want to mark a mooring, just tie some floating rope (polypropylene, not nylon) to your chain with enough slack to float on the surface. The ice will not catch the end of the rope and it will pull through during ice-out. **Q: Looking to purchase these as a gift. What size would I need for a 34 ft boat?** A: It would depend on the shape of the hull. My boat is 33 ft, and I use a size A2 near the stern and an A3 toward the bow. This arrangement works very well for the lock walls of the New York State canal system. They, of course, can be raised or lowered to provide proper protection. **Q: Imma doofus and lost the plastic screw for my A-4. Anyone know the size of it or maybe point me in the direction of a replacement?** A: Ares does not have a screw in it **Q: do I need a inflation adapter for each buoy I buy. And does it really take 1 to 2 months for delivery** A: No adapter I got mine in 2 days ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ bouée rouge *by on Reviewed in France 16 December 2018* objet conforme à la demande ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bouy *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 March 2020* Very good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing if you're using it as a slip bag for boxing. *by on Reviewed in Canada 24 September 2020* Filled with water it comes out to around 12-16lbs about the weight of a human head.
