If it is a plain sidewalk it would work. **Q: What is the difference in the ripster versus the rip stick mini.** A: The full size ripstick has a bar between the two parts that makes it longer. The smaller size is easier to manipulate for kids and adults, I think. With the longer full size ripstick you just need to be a little taller with a wider stance. **Q: Is this an appropriate gift for a 6 year old? My son wants this for Christmas, but we will both be devastated if he winds up with something that he can't handle...** A: My 9 year old grandson got one for christmas last year. In Jan or Feb his 6 year old sister asked if I would buy her one because he wouldn't share it with her and she further said that if the other boys in the neighborhood were out she never got a turn. I ordered one for her and she has no problem riding it inside and out. They seem to love the ripstick and have left the skateboard in the dust. You'd be surprised how good these small children in the neighborhood are on them. Or is it just me. My grandchildren all had the skut or tippee bike and then rode 2 wheel bikes at age 3 - the skut bike was great training for balance. This same family has a now 4 year old who balances on the ripstick but I haven't seen her ride it. The older two chase each other around on them. They seem to propel them by manuevering their feet, I don't ever see them push with one foot. They're all over the neighorhood - kids and ripsticks. It seems to be the thing. ## Frequently Bought Together - Razor RipStik Ripster, compact lightweight caster board, for kids 8+ - Razor RipStik Caster Board Classic Collection, 2 Wheel Skateboard with 360-degree Casters, for Kids,Teens and Adults --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/297127508-ripstik-ripster-caster-board-blue-ffp](https://www.desertcart.no/products/297127508-ripstik-ripster-caster-board-blue-ffp) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
