How do I know what size of Descend headset I need?

Measure the outer diameter of the fork's steerer tube and the inner diameter of the frame's headtube to determine the compatible specification for our Descend headset.

What is the bearing type of Descend?

It's built in high-quality angular contact cartridge bearings.

How do I know if the headset is too tight or too loose?

For a proper fit, the handlebars should swivel smoothly without binding. A too-tight headset restricts turning, while a too-loose one can lead to knocking or rattling.

How often should I service or clean the Descend headset?

It's recommended to do it once a year or every 3,000 miles (5,000 km). Of course, this can vary based on your riding style and the conditions you encounter.

Fit perfectly, so far working as expected no issues on GAS GAS Trail 3.0

My new GAS GAS TRAIL 3.0 mtn bike had a FSA branded headset installed. After 80 miles this FSA started clicking a lot which was disconcerting. A forum recommended this brand top and bottom so I purchased and it installed very easy, as the bearings were apparently exactly the same size - so I could retain the original bearing holders (races? not really a race in loose bearing terminology). I tested back and forth a few times to confirm using my hand, perfect. Installed using the original races and its been fine now for 150 miles or so.
