As many others have complained and mentioned before, I too experience the D-pads to stick. Sometimes you may press Left or Right on the D-Pad and the Down button gets stuck and then you scroll all the way down on a menu. Or even sometimes during game play the same thing will occur. The D-Pad is not snug within the controller and is able to move around. This is probably what is causing this issue. The other buttons seem to be working and responding as they should. I connected the controller to a Raspberry Pi and it was responsive right away. Update: After my initial review, customer service contacted me because they were sad to see my defective controllers. They sent me two new controllers free of charge in order to have better customer satisfaction, and it worked. The new controllers (this time with the multi color buttons) are of the same make, work absolutely fine. I just plugged them to the Pi and right away the system recognized the inputs and I was able to play. The D-Pad is more snug for the newer remotes and the buttons seem to be more responsive due to a tighter fit. Overall I recommend these controllers, no remote input required, they have great customer service. I even ordered some other products from the same supplier because of this.

These have been quite nice. I have them for light use at my desk for games and streaming so I haven't seen the wires pull out or anything yet, but I can say that the button pushes feel just like the old set I have in the closet. I know some people say that the buttons are hard to push, but personally these are easier than my original SNES controllers that had some DPAD inputs that were so stiff that it felt like you might have to stand on them to get them to register. By comparison these are smooth and comfortable. All in all, very happy with the price and quality for might purposes.

Kiwitata CS rapidly contacted me following the post of the initial review. They offered me to send me new controllers free of charge in place of the first set that doesn't meet my expectations. They shipped the new set rapidly and I try them upon reception to find that they are really better than the first one I received. The d-pad build is more robust, but at the same time the feeling is more smooth, no clunky sound anymore on the new set. Using them with Raspberry Pi 3 emulation was nice and precise, and as a Kodi remote I don't have to complain. These controllers are not perfect, but they are almost on part with other gamepad sold on Amazon for twice the price. Yes there is some better gamepad on the market, but they are way more expensive. In the end, this price for a pair of controllers that quality, you can't beat it. Best price for the buck vs very good quality level. Be advised that this updated review is for the Kiwitata gamepad with coloured buttons (red, yellow, green and blue), not for the purple ones. Kiwitata have a great CS, I appreciate it. L'envoi a été fait rapidement et j'ai essayé les nouveaux gamepad à leur réception. Juste en comparant les deux versions il est évident que la nouvelle (avec les boutons de couleurs rouge, jaune, vert et bleu) est plus solide et que le d-pad est plus stable tout en donnant une sensation plus douce, et sans faire de bruit douteux. L'utilisation des nouveaux gamepads sur un émulateur Raspberry Pi est correct et l'utilisation dans Kodi comme télécommande ne pose pas problème. Évidemment ces gamepads ne sont quand même pas parfaits, mais ils s'approchent beaucoup de gamepads de haute qualité vendu par d'autres fournisseurs pour le double du prix; il existe d'autres gamepads qui sont meilleurs, mais ils sont beaucoup plus cher. En fin de compte pour le niveau de qualité qui, est relativement très bon, des nouveaux gamepad, le rapport qualité prix est imbattable. Cette review a été mise à jour pour les nouveaux gamepads avec les boutons de couleurs, et ne s'applique pas aux gamepads avec les boutons lilas et violets. Kiwitata a un service à la clientèle très proactif, ce qui est apprécié.

These SNES style controllers work great with my emulated SNES games on my PC. Really good response time. using these controllers takes me down memory lane to the time I'd play my SNES back in the 90's.

Input lag is noticeable. I was hoping to relive the same experience of playing SF2 and dominating. The timing is just off enough that you can't land pixel perfect cheeses. They still work though and take up less space than a PS4 controller. So at the very least they are more convenient to store in a small box or plastic ammo crate. Price was fair for 2 controllers.
