Great kit to buy instead of going to the store to find misc. sand paper and rubbing compound. Was easy to get everything all in one shot and get the job done fast. Just a reminder read reviews this kit didn't come with the clear coat wipes it comes with rubbing compound so make sure you order those too if you want them!

I rarely write reviews any more, but I was so impressed with the efficacy of this kit, (and as someone who relies heavily on positive reviews) felt compelled to add one. I recently bought a new-to-me car in good shape, except for the VERY yellowed headlight lenses. I researched a few different kits and landed on purchasing this 3M kit. Extremely easy process, instructions were very clear and easy to follow (if you're totally unfamiliar, you might search a few headlight restoration videos on YouTube to see the general process). All in, less than an hour later (might have been closer to 30 minutes), I had incredibly clear lenses and the difference in visibility was (literally) night and day. Highly recommended.

If you need to restore your headlights at home this is a great kit for you. If your lights are just fogged over or yelling badly this kit will fix it. It takes a little bit of time effort and elbow grease but if you don't mind putting in the work you will get some pretty perfect looking headlight lenses in roughly an hour of your time. Love how it gives you absolutely everything you need from start to finish to get your lenses crystal clear like they were brand new. Highly recommend and will buy again anytime I need to restore headlight lenses

I needed to do something with the YELLOW headlights on my 06 Tundra before I put in the LED's I bought. I was hesitating to start the project. I ended up trying this first on someone else’s.. OMG this really works. I am fortunate enough to have a 3” random orbital tool, this tool with THIS 3M kit gave me outstanding results, period. It was way easier and quicker than I ever thought. Just wash off the lights, tape off anything you do NOT want to sand with a couple of layers of some good masking tape. Start with the 500 grit and LOTS of water, I used a spray bottle. Keep the tool flat and moving at all times, do not sit in any one spot. Rinse off several times during the process, did I say keep them wet? When they look uniformly “hazy” move to the next finer grit and keep going. As the haziness changes and gets uniform again change grit again… Again remember water is your friend during all of this… when you get to the 3000 grit the haziness will start to disappear keep sanding and rinse well. I used some fine, plastic safe rubbing compound with the same tool and what la.. CRISTAL CLEAR LIGHTS.. I then put some good wax on them. They look like NEW… I wish I had taken before photos! These will work with a cordless drill on a low speed as well just keep in mind you are working with plastic and heat is your enemy, keep wet and keep moving and use the disk as flat as possible. Long winded I know I am just stoked as to how good they turned out!

I have a twenty year old Toyota and the headlights were pretty much useless. I bought this restoration kit hoping for some improvement. It was my first attempt so I was going slow and re-reading the instruction before each step so it took right at an hour to complete the task. I have another to do an expect it will only take about thirty minutes now that I know what I am doing. The results far exceeded my expectations. The leneses are almost totally clear except on the sides where I did not expend as much effort. I will 100% but this product again if the need arises.

Results were great, but the advertised clear coat wipes were not included. I specifically purchased this kit because the wipes were supposed to be included, so I was quite disappointed.

As others have mentioned, this kit isn't exactly what's in the initial description and what's listed in the images. There are complaints of missing the clear coat wipes and masking tape. However, scrolling down to the details and official manufacturer description, you'll see we GAINED polishing compound as well as a polishing pad attachment. In my opinion that is a far better value over wipes and tape. But enough about the description fail. The product itself is amazing! The drill attachment and 3M's known quality in sandpapers make restoring headlights a breeze. I took my time to ensure proper sanding and not burning in and melting plastic with the drill attachment. My headlights have some high and low spots molded in, so I had to sand by hand for 10-15% of the surface. All in all, the whole process took about under an hour. And you can't deny the results! Granted this is sold as a 2-pack, there's enough sandpaper to do at least 4 cars with heavy yellowing/damage. These are great sandpaper discs. No need for heavy pressure and let them work their magic. If sanding by hand, back the pads with a sponge to spread out the pressure from your fingers. And the polishing compound is like the icing on the cake and cleared up all the sanding haze in a snap. Overall, greatly impressed with the quality and value

Quedaron como nuevos aunque debo decir lo siguiente si quieres buenos resultados el sobresito de limpiador desvanecelo completamente no lo limpies se irá aclarando aunque al principio se vea peor es cuestión de seguir y tener perseverancia y se logra grandes resultados excelente producto lo recomiendo espero les sirva mi opinión.

Headlight clear coat was shown in the photo but what I received was rubbing compound.

Nice headlight restoration kit when talking about the sanding discs and buffing pads but not sure about coating with regards to application, results and durability. I will have to try it and comment when it eventually fails.
